Everytime someone posts crap I am just going to write this............"What?" It follows that I am prepared to take bets that I would have 8,000 posts on this board by the end of December 08. Any takers?

I appreciate the idea but I think it'd get old after a short while.

Pete has been playing that game for months. Except he posts it after any post.

Actually, I was slightly disappointed. Neither one got to the same deliriously uncomfortable endings as most of the first couple seasons. I mean, we're talking about a sitcom that killed someone at the end of one episode. No Nazis , no statutory rape, no tears of anguish, no molestation charges, no abortions, no steroid abuse, no graphic violence, no heroin up the ass. Seems like it's losing it's edge a little.

(Oh wait, there WAS abortion talk. And TWO acid trips in two episodes for different reasons by different characters. And broken bones. And a slightly disturbing sex scene.)

Don't get me wrong, it's still funnier and sicker than anything else on TV. Oh, I did break down and bought the DVDs yesterday...blew through season 1 last night.

Well, a dumpster baby was about to get sliced by a samurai sword and Frank DID shoot someone. That is not edgy enough? hahaha

And that part where they meet with the casting rep (or whatever) was one of the funniest scenes the show has ever done.

That part was awesome! That was Elvin from the Cosby show. Fun fact: I guess Fred Savage directed that episode.

If you are asking about the casting person, it was in the first episode where they try to get DB an acting gig and they say Latinos are selling well. So they make a bunch of ridiculous comments and hilarity ensued.

It just seemed a little too obvious. Also, anything that ends with the "everybody freeze, we got caught doing something awful" shot is getting a little cliched.

And shooting a McPoyle doesn't count.

Basically, I thought "...dumpster baby" was pretty great, but seemed to be trying too hard. I didn't really buy the homeless storyline, and it didn't have much of a point or a payoff. The other two storylines were great.

"...Invincible" just didn't do much for me. Except for the shooting and the LSD, it could have been an Everybody loves Raymond. I did get a giggle out of Greenman, and it's nice to see Artemis make another appearance. In fact, she might have had my favorite line. "Climb into my mouth...just start with one foot"

I give Dumpster Baby an 8, and Invincible a 6. DB was great, it's just that they've put up so many 9s and 10s in the past.

Has anybody listened to any of the commentary tracks on the DVDs?

I listened on "Mac Bangs Dennis' Mom", because it's my favorite episode. When Frank is in the restaurant with his old girlfriend, he starts checking out the waitress' ass. Turns out, she was played by Danny's daughter. Creepy.

The other nice bit of trivia...the "Go For It" disco song isn't real. Devito just kept saying "go for it" while he was dancing, so they wrote a little song to match.

Devito was obviously wasted when they recorded the commentary.

I see where you are coming from. I thought Invincible was not their finest moment, but it still had me laughing a lot. I can say I am satisfied, but they are not top 5 episodes, definitely.

This is probably why they filmed it. I bet you the trailer they were in was the McPoyle's.
