I never thought much about this war until today. Even though he died doing what he loved, I'm still unsure if he died for a worthy cause. After I heard the news, I drove home crying my eyes out, repeatedly punching the steering wheel of my car.
We see all these pictures of soldiers who die on the news. I never thought that it could be the one and only Marine I cared about in the whole country.
Michael is pictured on the right. Even sadder, his brother Vincent on the left, committed suicide last November. May they both rest in peace.
