Look up the tablature for 'About a Girl' by Nirvana
It s an easy song that once you start picking up, it ll be a good song to fall back to when you get discouraged from butchering songs that are a bit tricky.
I am going to get so blown to Cypress Hill while they play.
I recommend Wish You Were Here.
play Green Day's "Time of Your Life" in a dorm hallway until your ass bleeds.

They are ok. My skin is peeling and my first three fingers have a permanent indentation in them.
I've now decided that the first song I'm going to play completely is Bruce Springsteen's "Valentine's Day." Why? It's easy and I like it and I actually sorta got to feel like I was playing something for once.
my first song on guitar was Come as You Are. but this isn't about my first song.

Nice guitar you got there~ Just look up PJ's Guitar Chords, Tabs, and songs on the internet for various music and chord charts~Damn job entailed having manicured nails and lot of hours...Lost touch with my guitar about 9 months ago...I haven't been quite right since.Seeing that pic just made me realize that. MUST PLAY AGAIN!
Sounds like you've got some great support here on the board~ I like the super glue idea...Must try that as I begin all over again...I've done this break thing before and it's like riding a bicycle...'Cept for the callouses...Once you got 'em though...watch out "F" chord! Practice some scales as well to loosen up your fingers beforehand..makes a big difference in moving from one chord to another~ Damn! Almost sound like Eddie Van Halen here, no?
I wonder if playing a stringed instrument makes it hard for blind people to read braille.
I don't see any of them reading. They've got callousightedness I bet.
