Are you pushing it out, you ******?
i love the shins!! but now if they do get added which day do you think it'll be?
Hopefully Saturday or Sunday. I don't plan on going on Friday, so if they're added then, it will be detrimental to my plans to only go Sat/Sun.
E
yay! I hope they play FRIDAY
sunday replacing PVD in second tier
just kidding then.
The only real experience I have with the Shins is
Garden State....but I don't have a problem with this
add..
Shins on Friday, they need some help with so little acts.. And somebody needs to knock Arctic Monkeys down the line up.
does this confirm anything...it says alledgedly...according to who?
I saw the shins at lollapalooza, and it was so unlistenable i had to go to another stage. let me say, i do love the shins. maybe they just dont do outdoor events well, i dunno. but the sound was completely fucked. i would love for them to prove me wrong, given the chance.
I'll preface this saying that I like the Shins, but Yeah, I dont think they are right in an outdoor setting. I saw them at Street Scene and it was just meh. I was actually glad that they weren't on the poster. Too bad they didn't add somebody worthwhile.
I was there too, and I can also say that the Shins were pretty much unlistenable at Lollapalooza. Very dissapointed with that set. There were sound problems, they weren't too engaged with the crowd... But, maybe it was just that show and I love their albums. Have any of you have seen them elsewhere?
I kinda seen this coming. I don't mind them. I seen them at uhhh, Download fest. they were okay. Kinda dead. The sound was good and the keyboardist was making jokes but it didn't really keep my attn for too long. It think I was dosing off a bit too. Don't remember. Which says something... They aren't memorable.
I saw them at ACL and I wasn't too impressed. It may have had something to do with the audience who were mostly talking at the time (the crowd was so big we were halfway towards the next stage). I think I'd enjoy them better at a smaller setting.
I just got back from the show at Amoeba, I thought it was great fun, despite some technical problems.
saturday saturday saturday!
I say the logical answer is Sat or Sun - just to balance things out a bit - there are a lot of SHIN-type bands, or ones that attract the same fans, playing on Friday.
The Glitter Freeze
Coachella 99-10 Vet, the run has ended in 2011
The Shins are playing this show here in L.A. on April 14th:
A Sounds Eclectic Evening 6
So's Lily Allen, but she's on the Coachella line-up.
Yeah and so are Rodrigo Y Gabriela. It could mean something or nothing.
I was at Amoeba yesterday for a few hours and The Shins played (a fact I did not know until such a thing happened), they absolutely were a bore. However, I found out that Scott Walker is actually in the "Oldies" section.
OH GOOOOOOODY!!!! Another over hyped, boring band to complete this years line-up!!!!!!
Did anyone go to the Shins show @ the troubadour last thursday? I wanted to go so bad, but i had finals.
