Let it be known - Doom is a f'ing joke!
Went to his show last night at the el rey, 20 minute vocal set + ten minutes of djing before that from the metal faced fool. He was also suffering probably suffering from laryngitis because his voice was sh_t and you couldn't hear what he was saying most of the time. But he never acknowledged it to the crowd nor offered any apologies at the end of his set for such a poor performance. He did only five songs then just walked away from the stage without even saying thanks or goodbye to his fans who paid a hefty $34 bones to see his sorry ass. I saw doom before at coachella and he did put on a tight set but last night was one of the worst shows I have ever been to. You can read more about it in the stonesthrow message boards. In addition, he was a no show to his friday gig at the glasshouse and just cancelled his make-up date tonight. Goldenvoice should never again promote any of his concerts because if anything, he treats his fans like doo-doo.

Damn... that sucks. Hope he gets his act together for this weekend, he's one of my biggest attractions. (drivin down from OR on thursday/friday)

sucks to hear that about doom. i've seen him three times (saturday will be four) and they were all pretty good shows. one was opening for talib kweli (when I used to like kweli) (before I knew who doom was) and that was pretty good, and then two of his own shows. he's not de la soul or anything but he does a pretty tight set, even though it's been the same set for a number of years. i was looking forward to him at rock the bells but he's not on the top of my list.

nas, though, i'm probably most excited for him. hell yeahhhhhh

has anyone seen actual pics of the site and how its looking? i recently saw a basic map of how the setup is gonna be. it doesnt look too bad. the main thing is how everyone wil hold up since it is in a parking lot. no shade anywhere (although it is the bay) the only place you can sit will be if you go to take a s**t! im hoping for the best but i know alot of people going to this are not festival tested so we'll see...

Well, I think it will be kind of the same thing as San Bernadino was, every 20 mins or so I inched closer and closer to the stage early in the day. Why? Because people either could not take the heat or just got over the idea of waiting hours and hours to see (insert band name here) There were a few guys who were all ''yeah man Rage is going to be so awesome, we'll be right in front!!''. About 3 hours laer, they got pulled out. This will be an advantage to the small percentage of us that can handle these things and we'll be prepared and we also have that much patience with things. So maybe I luck out and get even closer this time than last week.

yeah once public enemy goes on, ill be exclusively at the main stage. i wanted to see the coup again but they moved them to later in the day and against the wu-tang and i saw the coup at coachella so ill pass them this time and will be at wu-tang.. im gonna realx and chill in the back for the most part. ill 2 fist beers for wu-tang then let the buzz settle for rage! im 36 now and have been in many in-front pit areas so im actually more into just kicking back and enjoying the show as well as the scene itself. but it is the bay so the heat wont be a factor we shall see. should be a kick ass time!

the old trick is go to the side of the stage 10 min before the band is done, once they are done people will move and you can move in. i cant begin to tell you how many times i went to a big GA show and got to the front 30 min before the main act doing this... but now im too the point where i dont feel like being squished as much but this is rage!

I will be at the coup. Im so disappointed to miss Wu-Tang but whateva, when you get that many people on stage egos take over and cloud what could be a good performance.
