    Hello everyone,

Well i just graduated from HS this year and i never really got the the chance to go to Coachella. But now that I'm going to be starting college i might be able to go with some people. (most likely around 4 people) So what i wanted to ask is....for each person what would be the average cost to go to Coachella, such as tickets, flight, etc? I live in Washington State.

    Thanks

Well I came from Vancouver... so not much further than you.

If you plan on spending a ton on merch, like I did, then I say a good $600-700 will do. That is, of course, including tickets and camping. You of course could do it for less... but I say that is a comfortable amount. That is assuming you are driving of course.

For example in 2007, 3 day passes were $249, singleday pass $85, and camping for 4 nights $45(~50?) per person. And, plus some Ticketmaster fees added. Oh and camping is for 18 and over.

id say probably the best thing to do is to save about $1000 per person i think.

    $250 ticket
    $50 camping
    $350+ flight
and some other stuff lol idk.

Ummm.... no. For me, that included gas, food and accomodations.

I spent just over $1000 on the trip... and that included driving out of our way to Anahiem to spend a day in Disneyland before Coachella. Then driving out of our way back from Coachella, to spend a couple day in San Fran. So excluding disneyland, san fran and all that extra stuff. $600-700 should do you good for tickets, camping, gas, food and hotel. However, I was travelling with 5 people, so gas and hotels were pretty cheap. If you are travelling in a group of 5 from washington state... it would probably be cheaper to drive then fly.

My girlfriend and I had gone before... but the other 3 hadnt! So I figured it was a must. Also, that week, there was a 3 for 2 sale. 3 days for the price of 2! I wanted to do that, but the other who hadnt been before, said they couldnt afford it. After one day, all 3 of em said they wished we wouldve gone the extra 2 days... I told them so!
It was nice too, because my girlfriends birthday was a couple days after Coachella. So I took her to a surprise dinner at the Blue Byou in Disneyland. She loved it! I did too actually. Anyone who feels like eating a "fancy" dinner at disneyland.... go for it! Its located inside the Pirates of the Carribean ride.
Next year, we might stop by again to visit California Adventure. Since we didnt get to do it this year. Its hard enough seeing just Disneyland in one day!

I think I spent around $450 including the ticket, and I didn't have to pay for room and board this year.... (I had to give up my Sunday ticket, but meh).

we spent over $1000 each for the whole trip too .... that's coming from Hawaii...for next year we are probably spending more, since we are getting a condo instead of camping.

I'm in Phoenix and I think $700 is good for three days from there. That's driving. $335 or so for ticket and camping. $100 a day for spending. $60 for gas round trip. Total cost $695

Do you have to be at least 18 yrs of age to get in? Do they actually check ID's?

In the past it's been 18+ and they always check IDs, but has anybody noticed the wording on the new rules?

"* All campers MUST be 18 years of age or older & have a valid I.D or be accompanied by legal guardian. .. Sorry NO exceptions."
At some point in time a man switches from "I'll have what he's having" to "I'll have what I'm having."
