I have noticed a disturbing trend lately in that you seem to be posting right after me. Alll the time. I am trying to accomplish something here by being the last person to post in every category. And you are really throwing a wrench in that. We need to talk about this unspoken competition that has been brewing for the last week. 2004 was pretty chill though I caught like 4 bands since I only went to the day which Interpol played. Last year only the day Daft played and this year all 3 with my girlfriend.

04 and 06 just went back home after since I only did one day and this year my girlfriend and I just drove back after every night .

My GF is 18 and my parents are in LOVE with her and since she drives and isn't messing her life up she's cool to them.

Her parent's were okay with it and she just spent the nights at my house.

You're right it was 2003 but I remember it being the second day.

I remember watching Whirlwind Heat, Underworld, and Interpol.

Not sure who else though.

I've seen them twice though.

Once at the Weenie Roast like 3 or 2 years back and when they opened for SOAD. I only went for the Volta though.

I've seen them three times when they opened for A Perfect Circle and once at a super secret show in SF where there was no security and I was basically standing 2 feet from the band with nothing but a piece of tape on the floor seperating me from the band. IT. WAS. AWESOME. Needless to say I was impressed.

Still though this is in 2003 when not a lot of people had a clue. The performance on the Coachella DVD is one of my faves. I was there at Weenie in 2005, I left halfway since it was just a jam and I wish they couldve just done some songs.

The Weenie show was EPIC no doubt. I was pretty close up and had an AWESOME view. I remember knowing about them in 03 though since I had first heard of them like at the end of 2002.

Yeah, one of the few things why not going to earlier coachellas haunts me. At The Drive In in 99 and Mars Volta in the Mojave in 2002.
