    He had a show on very late, after they'd air the old Star Trek re-runs, that my friend and I would watch every night. He had a weird laugh and I don't think he had a neck.

    I do remember the bright lights, the cameras, the smoker chuckle the more I think about it now the back of blacked out van.....yeah that was fun.

    I enjoyed Dan Aykroyd's impersonation of Tom.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

    Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

    Awww...Tom Snyder. The younguns here aren't old enough to remember him. He was unintentionally hilarious. Dan Ackroyd's send-up of him on SNL, where he interviews the "battered masturbator" is classic.

    I literally bumped into him outside Rockefeller Plaza in NY in the 80's.I was walking fast and looking back trying to hail a cab,and I banged into him.He was also trying to hail a cab.
    I couldn't believe it was him.I told him how great it was when he had PiL on,and the Plasmatics(I seem to recall Wendy O. with a chainsaw quite vividly).He also did a great interview with Elvis Costello.
    He was quite gracious,and then asked if I could move along to the next corner so he could get a cab.
