i need to get a new cell phone fairly soon. i would like it to have the following features:

qwerty keyboard.
bluetooth.
pocketability.
not ugly.
unlocked and obtainable via ebay.

also, my contract with Cingular is up and i could potentially switch providers. i will have to get a new number soon anyway due to moving.

which providers are good in Southern CA? LA and OC area are most important.

does anyone know anything about Helio phones/service?

edit: i am not getting an iphone.

I have a Motorola Q with Sprint and I love it. I've had 2 Treo's and a Blackberry and find the Q to be superior.

Yeah dont get an Iphone. A Treo would be a cool phone to get. Or an 8125, those would be my only suggestions and they provide what you want. And Blackberry has some nice phones too.

Yeah thats pretty cool, its a Verizon phone, so if they have a plan you like then its all good.

I dont think she wants to be "trendy" like any idiot who is buying one right now. I really like it, but I wouldnt buy one at this point, first generation products have lots of bugs in them and they will have a superior more affordable version within a year.

well if you have mac it does not work with mac, i REPEAT IT DOES NOT WORK WITH MAC. fucker at the store said it would. im uploading my calender and contacts from my olde dell. takes like 10 minutes.

how can you deny that. only problem is th pocketability

I have that phone, and I like it. The only problem is that It's somewhat bulky in your pocket. Still, really fast texting.
