I love these guys.

Usually it's a bunch of different venues scattered around the Echo Park area. I think this is gonna be the third year, if I remember correctly.

Last year had Giant Drag, Silversun Pickups, Envy, and *shudder* The Thermals. I basically sat around for 8 hours watching bands that ranged from mediocre (The Minor Cannon) to decent (Dios Malos) to cringeworthy and soul-crushing (The Thermals) so I could see Silversun Pickups play a 50 minute set. SSPU were pretty blistering that night, but it still wasn't worth it.

No idea if I'll go this year. I'm more excited for Blonde Redhead at Sunset Junction.

The reason they do that is because they were getting in trouble due to the fact that there were posters saying "Fuck" all over L.A.

The only other time I saw them was with Interpol in Feb 05. Amazing set though.

They were pretty good. The only problem was that I couldn't hear them after Silversun blew my ears out; there's really nothing louder, in my experience, than Silversun at the Echo.
