Rochefort gets a decent distribution in terms of specialty stores. I've found it at Bev Mo, Whole Foods, Bev Warehouse and others. It is a decent beer, but you're going to pay $7 a bottle standard. It's about what that beer goes for generally.

That Goose Island Stout is phenomenal. It drinks like a bourbon. It's crazy. I really like the beers they have at the Pitchfork Music fest as well. What a great sponsor.

You should be able to find all the Oregon microbrews though, and that's some serious beer fan stuff there.

Unfortunately the state of Washington sucks when it comes to liquor laws (no Bev Mo contemporaries) but I'll certainly be looking into Whole Foods. Cheers.

You should track down a few good beer bars in your town as well. They have to exist, and I'm sure there's some amazing displays of microbrews around the pacific northwest.

BeerAdvocate is a good place to check

Yeah, that was pretty awesome. If I would have had more money I would have been drunk all weekend this year.

That stuff was good like seven months ago when it was released. Now it's time for their Estate Harvest Ale.

Thanks for the link. I've found a few solid places already, the best being Die Bierstube just north of the University district. A fine selection of Belgian and German beers on tap. You can choose at random and be guaranteed to get a superb beer. Tasty sausages as well.

Very helpful if you're trying to find good beer bars in
    Northern California.

Yessir. I live ~150 yards from the monk. The laid back atmosphere is great for a drink and chit-chat.

almost everything Goose Island puts out is great actually if you ask me the 2 at Pitchfork are probably their weakest links and that's saying a lot cuz 312 and their IPA are both really good

Other than Alaskan Winter Ale, I don't care for winter brews. Snowplow from Widmers isn't too bad though.
