While I'm thinking about it, take a look at the SanTan website and tell me what you want me to bring for you.

That would be great! Especially since the only other option is Heineken.

Unless you sneak brews in like I always do.

Mr. Pineapple would be a solid beer for the heat. Last year I didn't get that much pineapple taste in it, I think Maui Mana Wheat is a little better.

So I'm stuck in Texas for a while and I've made a few trips to Houston. They have this really neat spot called the Hay Merchant I've been going to. They have a solid beer line up. http://www.haymerchant.com/menu/
Had the Clown Shoes Hoppy Feet 1.5 which I enjoyed. Karbach is a great local brewery out here. Being from LA I'm getting a chance to sample a lot of beer I would normally not have access to back home. It's kinda nice.

Would be more awesome if they'd put bottling dates on the bottles. The bottles I've had have tasted old.

I recently picked up 48 cans of blue moon at total wines and more in OC. No more watered down coors!

I live a few blocks away. Great spot. You should try the 512 BA Double Pecan Porter out of Austin. Probably one of the five best brews in Texas. They still had it on tap as of last weekend. More spots to check out if you're in town:

    Petrol Station
    Cottonwood
    Moongoose vs. Cobra

Also, D&Q Mini Mart a few blocks away has arguably the best beer selection in Houston if you want to buy some bottles/bombers to go. Secret spot for a lot of beer folks in town.

yeah, concur, tastes like ass. My brother drinks it. And Corona is like urine.

Not sure what I'm going to buy yet. Did Modelo in 2011 and that went well.

Blue Moon is a starter beer for a lot of people moving on from simply drinking Coors Light, Bud, MGD, etc. If it starts to broaden someone's beer tastes a bit, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

This is so true, Blue Moon, Heineken, Stella, and Shocktop were my gateway into craft beers. The only one I still drink regularly is Stella. I'll only drink the other three if I have to. Guiness is still my favorite beer though, nothing beats a guiness.

This was absolutely true in my case.
