Had a Ballast Point Brewing Co. Sea Monster Imperial Stout last night. It was pretty damn good, but I've had better Imperial Stouts. But considering it's cheap price I'll be coming back for more.
I have 3 big bottles in my fridge and I'm probably gonna have one of them tonight - which one should I choose?
Deschutes Black Butte 24th Birthday Reserve
Are you eating anything with your beer?
I just pick up a bunch of Clown Shoes brewery,Dogfish 120 mins IPA, and this Italtian Beer with italian coffee beans in it.
Am I the only person that finds dogfish head 60 90 120 IPAs way overrated?
Picked up the last New Belgium Lips Of Faith series for the year, Imperial Coffee Chocolate Stout and Biere de Garde. Also picked up some narwhal and upslope Christmas ale. All delicious.
No food with the beer tonight, i'm just about to crack one open now. Going for the Black Butte Anniversary.
I think Dogfishhead 60-minute and 90-minute are very good, but I don't get the hype about 120-minute.
I love the Lipe of Faith stuff. the Bier De Garde is very good. I really need to try that coffee chocolate stout though.
It's crazy. Here in Colorado the 120 goes for $11+ for 8 oz.
Just want to brag about Colorado's beer scene for a sec. It has been fantastic this year. So many amazing firkins this year. From pumpkin porters, grapefruit ipas, peanut butter chocolate stouts and so many more!!! I have 25 breweries in a 30 mile radius from my house. I don't even buy much bottled or canned beer any more. All growlers. I love it in Denver right now.
I want to visit Colorado so badly and do a huge brewery tour and catch a show at Red Rocks. i was just talking to a Client from Denver about that earlier today. It's on the bucket list.
I got a decent deal at work today for a 4 pack of Duvel that came with a nice glass. Only $14. Also got a rather large bottle of Piraat as a write off. Work is fun. Sometimes.
Planning a weekend trip when there is a decent show is totally worth it. Cab rides from brewery to brewery even it was just 7 breweries each day wouldn't be more than 35$ for the entire day since they are so close to each other. I think there is some guy that does tours/barcrawls on a bus for pretty cheap too.
I have never had Dogfish Head 120 min IPA is the main reason why I even brought a bottle. If its not great Im not going stress about it since I brought it $8.Im trying planning to make it out to SF beer week in Feburary.Im really excited for this next time in the Bay area because I am going make sure I make it to Beer Revolution.
It's definitely worth trying. It's just too boozy for to even be considered an IPA for my taste.
Well 120 min is 18% while sink the bismarck from Brewdog is 41% which is also a IPA

I thinking about coming up for SF beer week its going be the second or third week of February
I was back east for the last week and tried a bunch of new (to me) beers there. White Rajah IPA is the only one I'd go out of my way for again. It's very nice.
Oh, mrs gazercmh got me a keg of Speedway Stout for my birthday a couple weeks ago. It's so nice to be able to drink that beer without committing to opening a 750ml bottle.
I was at a party a couple weeks ago and someone opened a 1995 Cantillon Rose de Gambrinus. It was outstanding! People who say the fruit flavor drops off in those beers are wrong, as the raspberry was still strong. I'm going to try to resist opening some of my bottles for a long time so I can age them similarly.
Ooo man i am going bring some brown ale aged in maple syrup barrels for pregaming for titus tonight....and bagged whiskey
I have some delicious homework for these next few cold, windy days...
Every time I have tried going to City Beer they were closed.I definetly want to check that place out.
Heading to the 6th annual Barrel Aged Beer Festival....
I'll post some photos later, I've heard they have some rare kegs!
Sounds like a great time.I have yet to gone to any type of Barrel Aged Beer exclusive event.I love going to a specific type of beer festivals though. It is kinda like going to a Iron Chief exhibition for beer drinkers. What is the name of the event?
West Coast Barrel Aged festival.
Here's what I had: Sierra Nevada ovila oak red wine barrel aged dubbel, lagunitas little sumpin' wild gueuze in Pinot, bear republic barrel 32 (sour stout) in French oak, Oakland brewing Tower of sour in Sangiovese oak, ale industries Unity in Zinfandel, moylans wet hopsickle 2012 in medium toast French oak, craftsmith brewing plum sour in oak and whiskey, mystery beer aged from 1999, mad river funk de aarbei, half moon brewing quadruple in Pinot, stone suitable for cave aging in burbon, and Russian river consecration in cab.
Went to AleSmith today for their Barrel Aged Speedway release. They had BA Speedway on draft and on cask, plus Speedway with nutella, a mocha Speedway, Speedway on nitro, Speedway with Italian coffee and Speedway with Vietnamese coffee. And regular Speedway, of course. A friend brought a bottle of 2004 Speedway, and it was delicious. Went home with eight bottles of BA Speedway and a smile on my face ...
I went to a beer tasting/pairing tonight at a local bar and found out that mid December they are going to do a Stone Vertical Epic tasting going from 2004 to 2012. Jesus I am so excited.
