I thought meg gill ran golden road. Google tells me she is co-owner.
This is fantastic news. Shitty beer is one of the two things I've been whining about for years. My dream is finally coming true. This is where I will be a lot of Sunday.
Where did you guys find that info? All I found on the website under Featured for 2014 was:
The newly expanded Terrace will cater to festival goers who share a passion for healthy, local and sustainable ingredients. Look for top chefs and restaurants from across Los Angeles and the Coachella Valley serving hand-crafted dishes along side the region’s top artisanal vendors offering a delectable array of hand-made edible treats, with a curated selection of craft beers on tap and a Stumptown coffee bar. Stay tuned for more details.
First time trying a sour tonight (Flemish) and wow, I had no idea beer could taste like this. Pretty damn good, but pretty odd and different to say the least.

2/12 Babes In Toyland @ The Roxy
5/1 Sleater-Kinney @ The Palladium
Had the new Go To IPA from Stone Friday night. I'm always looking for low-abv beers that have a lot of flavor, and this one is a winner. It's 4.8% and has loads of hop aroma and flavor. Nice Citra hops, too. It can be hard to make a "session IPA" that doesn't have a thin mouthfeel, but this one delivers.
Angel City's All Night IPA is also very good. i hope they start bottling it.
At the bacon and beer festival yesterday the standout beer for me was Altamont Beer Work's Maui Waui - an IPA with a very heavy pineapple taste.

Beer and bourbon have become the record store of past. I'm sitting at the bar currently listening to these two assholes try and one up each other on beer, breweries, bourbon, and knowledge of the ilk. It kills me. I go into the lq store and beer niggah either scoffs or high fives me with my questions and choices of beer.
Fuck you. Does it taste awesome? Does it get you drunk? Perfect.
Hell yes, one of my favorite brewery's made LA Weekly's top 5 Cali Beers list. They actually took the #1 spot. Enegren Brewery in Moorpark (just over the hill from my house) relased Batch 100 last week and it is a damn fine beer. The Enegren brothers are some of the coolest brewers Ive met, they have no problem helping fledgling homebrewers get started on the right foot with answeres to pretty much what ever brewing question you can think of.

Ramirez Liquor announced on Facebook this weekend that Ramirez Beverage Center would be opening soon in Boyle Heights, and teased this photo:
Sweet baby Jesus, I am excited.
Anybody ever hit up Progress (formerly Federal) brewing in El Monte? I like their red ale and stout. Forget the names but the growlers and fills are very reasonable.
