It's good. I don't think it was as good as previous batches but still very fucking good.

I've got a Kern River Class V Stout, a Rubicon Monkey Knife Fight IPA and a Cuvee de Jacobins Rouge lined up for today.

My mini haul for the day. The Deal With The Devil was a bitch, our local craft beer store posted on Facebook they had just received some and it sold out within an hour, luckily my roommate and I snagged some bottles

I had my first IPA the other day. Saint Archers on tap. I really really liked it. Have any of you guys tried that? It's a new brewing company out of SD, and it's super cool because it was started and owned all by professional skateboarders.

So I thought an acquired taste for IPAs would take a while for me. But I guess not because I've been drinking Lagunitas' IPAs tonight and I absolutely love them.

I've had Saint Archer in bottle but never on tap. Also never knew about the pro skateboarder thing. When I was 18 and a freshman in college I had an IPA and hated it. Didn't have one again until I was 21 in a bar and a friend ordered me a Stone IPA and I absolutely loved it also. IPA are the only beer I will order in a bar now (unless I am already hammered and going with Coors Light) because I can't drink them fast. My personal favorite ones are either Stone or Bear Republic Racer 5. I do also really enjoy Green Flash, but that might be because it's the one I drink the most (Friends brother works for them).

I'm at Jester King enjoying their Ol' OI a sour barrel-aged brown. Tasty stuff. They also have Atrial Rubicite on tap. I'll have to get a glass of that next.

There's one bar out here in Palm Springs that has it on tap. Delicious. Yeah I started drinking regularly at a pretty young age (like 13-14) lol and of course it was always Coors Light, Bud Light, etc.. When I was like 15 I tried an IPA and hated it but that's understandable. Now I can't see myself drinking anything else....yet. Still have to try more bitters and sours. I drank a 6 pack last night to myself in a couple hours. I still haven't tried Stone!! That and Sculpin are next on my list.

Really? The only Rye IPA I have had is Hop Rod and I didn't find that easy at all on the palate. Much rougher then Racer 5. Though I still do really like Hop Rod also.

On another note I had a Mickeys 40 for the first time tonight (crazy right?) and I am having a hard time to decide if it should go in this thread of the shit beer thread.

So a few breweries out here in the bay area are ok with 64 oz growlers and here are a few sites I found that make awesome growlers .

    http://www.drinktanks.com/products/growlers/,

These look amazing with a nice handled and have a lot of colors to choose from but they are super pricey at $69 or powder coated for $84.

    http://www.hydroflask.com/products/h...r-growler-64oz

This is pretty basic and sliver, black or an ugly shit brown, priced at $49.99

I personally am going to choose between these two beer growlers because they will keep cold for hours/ your ride back home from the brewery.

This is a cereamic growler which I think look great and hip yet I like to dumby proof things espeically for a drunk sloppy verison of myself.

Follow @homebrewfinds on Twitter. They just had a link to the stainless double walled growler on Amazon a couple days ago for $18.99 and qualified for free shipping. I just checked, and unfortunately, it looks like the price just went back up to $45. You'll have to get a government warning sticker for it, though. You can get one for less than $1 online.

I'm doing a budget-friendly IPA taste test here. I picked up sixers of Pyramid Outburst, Lost Coast Indica, Boulder Mojo, and Bridgeport Hop Czar. I'm sipping on Outburst first, and it's not too bad for 8.5% alcohol and $5.99/sixer (with $1 off coupon at Total Wine).

Bear Republic IPAs are definitely way on the bitter side.

I'm sure we do. I"ve done my first collab with a few home brewers who are friends, to develop a dark-roasted IPA with Kona Coffee and hawaiian coconut added to the barrel. They've got ideas, so far I just jump on board and drink heavily.

I stayed away from IPA's for years. I remember tasting one when I was just getting into craft beers and was hooked on Blondes. Guess my palate wasn't ready back then because I enjoy the hell out of them now.
Green Flash west coast ipa was my introduction.

Warlock was awesome! I am very happy to get to try it. i am bummed that it had to be so expensive because I would have liked a lot more of it. But it was the only way to get it, so it is what it is.
