So since I got a myspace bulletin from Goldenvoice with the presale info for this show and decided I'd hop on it this morning, figuring that someone else on the board might want them, or possibly someone with too much money on their hands a few weeks from now.

But I was stunned to find that the presale seemed to be limited to the mezzanine and loge sections, and went into fucking shock, not know what to do. I took mezzanine. Are these the least desirable seats in the house or the most or what?

Really? I reloaded it like a dozen different times, getting more and more out of sorts, and only LOGE and MEZZ came up.

their entire tour so far has been doing these instant sellouts, so you gotta be on top at 10am. me, my girlfriend and a friend also going both got GA...so, they were offering it. wait for the regular on sale then.

Yeah, it's an instrumental show for a band that's been around since the eighties--there's gotta be some rich bastards who want to sit and have a good view and crap, right?

God I hope so. I own way too many concert tickets right now.

the show wont be fully instrumental. it just means they are playing their instruments...and will be doing more instrumental stuff from the new cd and old tunes like In 3s, POW, Groove Holmes, while doing fresh new versions of their rap songs with their instruments like, Jimmy James, Do It, So Whatcha Want...

Hmm... well either way there had better be (a) enough people who were original Beasties fans who're now too old to want to stand for the whole show and/or (b) just a ridiculous demand for this show. It is kinda a special show, right? Smaller venue than the others on this tour, and they referred to it as a "gala" I think. Anyone know what that's about?

Just saw that. That's weird. Unless he had them shipped ground, which you can't hardly do as a scalper, he's not making more than 25 dollars tops between both tickets.

Jesus Christ, I can't believe people tolerate these kind of profit margins. Why don't I have any decent drug connections, I'd make this fucking inheritance last for three years.

Yes, i know ALLLL about the Gala's....i have already seen the Bboys 5 times this year...still got 6 more shows to go at the moment... the Gala shows are slighty diff from the regular shows.... I posted in another thread 2 setlists to compair...

I've never seen the Beastie Boys, but I'd much rather see the classics.

Greek will have more classics....they wont be performing Intergalactic, Body Movin, 3 MCs, Ch Check It Out, Triple Trouble at the Wiltern..... but you will get Sabotage and the hardcore joints...

tried for loge tix on the regular onsale, but nothing came up...i just don't enjoy being in ga for shows anymore, especially at a show like this where they want everyone to come dreesed to the nine's. a suit in a ga pit just doesn't sound fun to me. i guess i will just have to enjoy my 3rd row greek seats this time around.

They do now....At the Crocodile Cafe show in May it was the 1st time they used their instruments in 8 years... Im of course counting out, songs like Sabotage or Instrumentals...but hardcore....8 years... they are doing hardcore at every single show on tour...
