Thread: European Music Fesitivals?

    Default European Music Fesitivals?

I'm planning a trip to Europe next year with two of my friends and we want to try to go to at least one music festival over there. We're going to be there for the first two weeks of June and I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions of what we should go to. My friends were thinking Download festival, but I don't really want to deal with some shit headliner like Linkin Park.

check pollstar.com at the front of the page if you scroll down they have a section marked Euro Festivals. That will give you all the info you need.

i have never been at a major fest where i really felt i wanted to leave ... some groups might have sucked, but all in all, it was always worth it ... just a couple of weeks ago at bonnaroo, i felt that way for a few minutes though .... 100 heat and humidity, dust so thick people had on hospital masks, a lot of people (me) had some sort of nasty virus, yadda yadda, and i was thinking "i am paying for this torture", but it passed quickly, and off to another show .... sorry i hijacked this thread sort of ... cr****

Primavera (Barcelona) is guaranteed mud-free.(1st week of June). Wireless in London can be a bit hit and miss, but just get day tickets for the ones that don't suck (2nd weekend in June). I'll probably check out Hove festival next year in Norway (especially if Radiohead are headlining)

Benicassim festival in Spain sounds amazing, just because it has a beach on the festival grounds to my understanding.

glasto is amazing...i would encourage anyone who loves coachella to go. why did someone cry the entire time? was it because of the rain?
