whatever happened with that Boards of Canada thingy ?

the Minneapolis/st paul show is at a minor venue, that is surprising.
usually only declining acts play there

That leaves September 15th open for Inland Invasion and hopefully an LA date as well. Being that the crowd at Inland Invasion is usually one of the worst not to mention that hideous Hyundai Pavillion, so that LA date is a must. What does everybody think? The Greek? The Wiltern?

    Those are my two guesses.

I don't think I am going to bother with Inland Invasion, so there better be a straight up LA date (which I am pretty sure there will be). I am glad that the gap for the LA dates is between the 13th and 18th (so the shows will have to be Friday-Monday).

im a bit disappointed that their only NY date is that LIVE EARTH show.
Not that I'd be dying to go see them. Ticket prices will probably be absurd and the last time I saw them (Mellon Collie tour) they sounded awful.
I am going to get so blown to Cypress Hill while they play.

I'm not sure Rosetta Stoned has been back after that little incident.

ALSO: Pumpkins at the Dodge? I don't mean to totally rain on their parade because I'd still like to see them but at a suitable venue and probably for far less than they'll charge.

They are too big for the Marquee. The only other option I would imagine would be Celebrity Theatre, but even that might be too small.

NY date will more then likely be added later and will probably be around the same time as their philly and boston dates, in going with the east coast theater trend I would bet on it being two nights at the Theater at MSG

I agree that they're too big for either of those places. The Pumpkins are bigger than the Shins and the Shins sold out Celeb.

I guess I'd be more likely to consider going if they played Mesa Amp because I like the non-seated venues but whatever.

I guess I've never been on the floor at the Dodge. Do they have a GA circle/pit for some shows? That could be cool.

But, again, I'm probably past caring that much about the band. I don't know though.

I've got pit tickets for Snow Patrol at the Dodge, so yeah, some shows have pit.

Wow; seems like the Dodge would be too small for them. I would've guessed Glendale Arena for them-not the whole arena, just the bottom part of the bowl.

They played America West Arena back in 1995. I went for Garbage and left before SP because I was so disgusted with their latest album back then.

And when did the extra shows pop up?

Just yesterday San Diego wasn't up there.

And the McKay Center should be at UVSC not the U for the SLC show. Maybe I"m wrong though.

Really? Mellon Collie was my musical awaking...I never gave a crap about a band or music in general before then...I wore out my Mellon Collie CD because I listened to it so much...Because of SP I discovered: Bowie, MBV, Velvet Underground, Mercury Rev, Jesus and Mary Chain...the list goes on...

I got into SP when Adore came out, so I never considered going. Now though, I would give a toe to have seen the show they played at AWA. The setlist was amazing.

They will announce it shortly, either that or they will announce it along with Inland Invasion sometime in August...RELAX! Their coming to LA, their itunes pre-order stated they would, they can't go back on it now.
