i saw a most cool Ramones documentary in the cemetery Friday

i went to the Hollywood Forever cemetery Friday night for the premiere of "Too Tough to Die". It is a documentary about the Johnny Ramone tribute show that happened at the Palace...uh, Avalon back in Sept., 2004. So it also ends up being about Johnny, the Ramones, and the influence they had on the artisits performing at the show and more. i loved it. It was the most rocking time i ever had at the cemetery and i have been attending for about 5 years now. Was most cool to feel about a thousand people chanting "Hey! Ho! Let's Go!" only a few hundred feet away from the Johnny statue. i don't think this will play in a theater and if you see it coming up on your tv or rental ability at some point, hopefully you will love it too. After, the Ramones 82 US Festival performance was shown. i'll get some pictures up here later, but in the meantime, this is a clip of the Dickies performance of "You Drive Me Ape (You Big Gorilla)" and some interview (extra fun: the shadow in the chair to the right is Stan Lee watching himself and the rest of the movie):

I've been obsessed with the Ramones since I was thirteen. I saw them play in our auditorium in college. It was like an outer body experience, and the sad part is that this was in 92 or 93 when nothing compared to how things used to be.

I saw him several times on the street in NY,and every time he was carrying a bottle in a brown paper bag.

i'm not sure. The chat seemed pleasant enough. Typical stuff i would think (about the IFC show that was on the past weekend, Gene Simmons, going to see Black Flag but they weren't there, Shattered Faith, interviewing people and the reduction of ego in the process) that was very brief. When other people were doing the "can i get a picture?", i said i would like one if that was cool. Here's my two theories:

1) i stink (which would be a major defeat because i put some effort into hygiene.)

or

2) That's his pose for those type of fan photos (which i thought was pretty funny when i saw the result.)
