All I can say is that ive seen interpol 5 times....and they havent failed to impress me. In fact, my birthday present from my boyfriend in 05 was interpol in vegas, then interpol at the greek in la the next night. Amazing. I'm camping out in front of the stage all day for this one.
A couple of friends of mine saw peaches and said it was a really really fun show.
I only pissed on my pants because i though they were already unzipped. bitch.
agreed on Interpol ... depends on what you want ... if you want high energy, jumping around ... etc ... then you'll be disappointed.
If you want your music tight, clean and sounding like the album because that's what you dig, you'll be impressed ... you'll hear raves and complaints from both sides of the fence on this one.
interpol is amazing live.

I seen interpol back in 2004 at a festival held in the bay area. Uh, they put me to sleep. Literally, I was on the baracade and was slowly drifting off. I listened to the record afterwards and enjoyed it. Somehow that doesn't transition well to the stage. At least back then. It might be different now.
I saw Interpol twice in 04. I flew to ny and saw them and then 2 weeks later I saw them in orlando. They were amazing. However it is a VERY chill show. I also got to see Peaches and WOOOOOW!!!!!. At one point there were fake breasts squirtting god knows what and fake blood being spit at everyone. It was definetly on hell of a show.
"Screw the boys, I wanna stay here with my new family and their feel good candy..."
on her current tour, peaches brought "the herms", her new band consisting of j.d. from le tigre, samantha from hole, and radio sloan from the need. they play synchronized keytar and peaches strips down to the tiniest of underwear, among other things. on the fatherfucker tour, she had 2 tranvestite hula hooping back up dancers.
she won't disappoint, i'd say.
The word I would use to sum up Interpol would be "intense". As others have mentioned, very tight, almost like a throb of sound.
Personally, while I enjoyed them, I like my entertainment a little less....how can I put it.......phoned in.
saw peaches when she opened for QOTSA and trail of dead in like 2002...it was interesting...saw interpol in 2005...excellent show!!
Well allright.
I saw Interpol at the Curiosa Festival in 2004 and they were pretty boring live. They sounded great...but the most exciting during the whole show was when Paul lit a cigarrete during PDA. that was it.
I saw Placebo in Pinkpop in Holland last year. it was a GREAT set! they sound AMAZING live. My only complaint was that they played a LOT of stuff off Meds. I think it was a great album but I wanted to hear some of their older stuff. But they did play Kate Bush's "Running up that Hill". Totally unexpected but AMAZING. I'm definitely going to check em out this year. but I really hope they play a lot of their old stuff.
all the positives mentioned in this thread about interpol are all pretty accurate.
i saw peeping tom open for gnarls barkley in toronto. my friends are all patton freaks and they dug it....but not like...."oh my god, max the cards, let's get a flight and tix for the next show!" more like..."that was cool, let's get burritos."
