WTF is a glen helen pavillion?

is there even going to be a second stage? is it going to be in the grassy area?

I know the ocheastra seats are going to be ripped out but come'on how are we going to mosh to rage on cement? (very carefully i guess)

this is bull, and I don't have the money to drive to san fransisco.

i believe they do ozzfest there every year, so yes, multiple stages are possible. i saw metallica there back in '94, seats for 25,000 and the grass section holds another 25,000, it's a big venue. tried to see no doubt and blink there a few years ago and it took us 7 hours to get into the parking lot due to some big fuckup, i think tm oversold it or something. got in about 10:30, 2 songs into no doubt's set. so yes, traffic and parking is a bitch at that place and i will never go there for another show. luckily the promoter refunded all of our money for the tickets due to the disaster they created.

It holds 70,000 people, seats like 15k at the most and the rest is all on the lawn. Its the largets outdoor amphitheater in the country.

Sadly, i agree with that. San Bernardino sucks, but it's quite a bit closer to my place than SF. And, that show just happens to fall the day after my brother's birthday, and he's a hip hop head, so we're going to that one.

Come now Eddie. That's just lazy. Let's examine the actual lineup differences:

SF: Doom, Hieroglyphics
LA: Murs:316 Paid Dues stage.

Unfortunately, Paid Dues isn't doubling up as it comes through San Francisco a week prior to Rock the Bells, but if you're the type that needs to see Brother Ali, you now have that option without having to worry about missing Nas or The Roots if there are conflicts.

And seriously, a parking lot surrounded by the bay is much better than a San Bernardino heat stroke.

i went to that show too! that was my junior year in high school. with suicidal, and somebody else...i think somebody good was supposed to play like aic and they canceled so they stuck some gay band in there, oh yea, candlebox, LOL!

The message board suggest Doom is off SF too, but according to the artist line up he's still on there. I've actually never listened to him, but I hear much good things. Hope he's still there.

I'm going up to SF with about 10 of my friends. Little road trip from LA right before we all graduate college. I really can't wait. Such a fantastic line up. I'm glad I get to see Blackalicious and Murs again and you can't beat Public Enemy+Nas+Roots+Cypress Hill AND THEN fucking Wu Tang AND THEN Rage. Will be a hell of a show.

SF does now have David Banner though, so we will have to hear that "trying to get your pussy wet" song.

The SB show will be massively uncomfortable. Drink lots of water!

I was a bit pissed that Paid The Dues wasn't going to the SF show, but really it's probably for the best. No other stage bleed over, no moving back and forth, etc. The stage will get pretty damn packed though. I do wish SF would get Erika Badu.

you've obviously never heard them on tracks together or mixtapes with their songs back to back because Doom is light years ahead of slug in rapping and slug has put out 2 really really weak albums the last times out and doom has dropped ONE ok album..

ive heard most of the tracks you talk about....slug just has the charisma and the "wow" factor doom lacks to me. hes a good rapper but more on the boring level. ive found myself having to rewind what slug says and just be more amazed with his talent than the just "eh" of doom
