Sorry, nothingman. I actually read your complaint about the BoC threads AFTER I'd already posted this. I respect that you feel that way, but I also think there's nothing wrong with adding to the BoC buzz.

Amy, I'd be thrilled (and shocked) if BOC plays, and i agree that there needs to be a thread put up. If anything, we should "sticky" it, so that each time a newbie comes on and feels like posting something along the lines of "Why not BOC this year???", they can simply post in the correct thread. But then again, half the fun of the board is seeing the overexcited speculation about BOC. Frustratingly obnoxious? Sure. Harmless fun? I suppose.

I am not aware of any live BoC boots circulating out there, so your guess is as good as mine. Where's Menik? He's the resident Boc optimist/expert.

Erik told me some time ago he heard they were supposed to be good live. I was just curious if anyone else knew of any specific live dates.

i thought i read somewhere that there were one or 2 live boots floating around. but i may be making that up.

There is three live boots floating around, 2 of them which can be found in lossless if you search hard enough. One from 1999 (1999-11-05), one from 2000 (2000-10-14), and one from ATP in 2001 (2001-04-07 - which I believe is their last show performed). They also performed in 1997 at the Phoenix festival, and supported Autechre in a few shows too.

There is also their 1998 appearance on the John Peel show, 3 songs which can be found on CD, and another one (XYZ) which can be found elsewhere. they also did a radio show in France I believe some time during that span as well.

I've read interviews where they stated they were preparing to be play live in the future, but then again, they've said a lot of things. Supposedly, a few of the live shows they played ended not so good...as in equipment failing/blowing up.

i've got the live boot from the ATP and its pretty good. i'm not sure how they'd go over in a fest setting though - they are pretty low key...

luckyface, during coachella, the only place BoC will be playing is on your ipod. Last year, not this year, was the year to get them. Campfire released in late '05 then that Highway EP in mid '06. I'm not going to be the guy to crush your hopes, so I'll give it a .000000024% chance of a BoC appearance at Coachella this year.
