Hello Phoenix residents. By this time next week I will be in your fair city. Looking at the 10 day forecast I see lots of chances of rain. Here in Alberta, you can't believe the weather forecast as the weather changes here very quickly and often. For example, it went from 34 degrees Celsius by noon to hail by 4pm yesterday. What are the chances that it will actually be sunny next week if there are calls for rain? I'm trying to plan accordingly.

A call for rain means that it will be cloudy and raining for about 10 minutes at some point between 5pm and 8pm.

It will most likely be sunny for 90-95% of your trip. The monsoon storms usually have a difficult time reaching phx.

It's going to be 95 degrees at 7am and only get hotter from there. What part of town will you be in? We're in Avondale and got some light sprinkling yesterday but generally only get a fraction of what's incurred on the east side of town (Mesa, Chandler, downtown).

Yeah, and the food is pretty damn good at r&r... The sliders, ahi tacos or the animal fries are all excellent for happy hour choices... I went the other day and had like 5 beers and animal fries, I wanna say it was like $20

If you want to get drunk, Four Peaks (local brewery) has a location a couple miles from where you are staying, and there's a pretty sweet Irish Bar called Skeptical Chymist in the same complex.
