That explains it. I was trying to figure out which one worked construction, did P90X, and made you think they could beat me in an arm wrestling match and had no fucking idea who it could've been.

*edit* i'm a gullable idiot. gulla-calf even.
Hello Phoenix residents. By this time next week I will be in your fair city. Looking at the 10 day forecast I see lots of chances of rain. Here in Alberta, you can't believe the weather forecast as the weather changes here very quickly and often. For example, it went from 34 degrees Celsius by noon to hail by 4pm yesterday. What are the chances that it will actually be sunny next week if there are calls for rain? I'm trying to plan accordingly.
It's going to be 95 degrees at 7am and only get hotter from there. What part of town will you be in? We're in Avondale and got some light sprinkling yesterday but generally only get a fraction of what's incurred on the east side of town (Mesa, Chandler, downtown).
I'll be staying in Scottsdale, with the rest of the Canadians(from what I understand).
Yes? I'm already planning on meeting up with Gribbz for a hike. You're more than welcome to join us, as is anyone.
If you're staying in Scottsdale, I HIGHLY recommend this place:

Haha, yeah I've actually been reading this thread for the past week or so and saw that you all went there. It's definitely on the list.
What part of Scottsdale? I live and work there.
Looking at the map I am just east of the 101 and north of E Shea Blvd.
Ah, ok. Nice area. It's more North from where I am at. I live/work in what is called either "old town, or downtown" Scottsdale. Around the cross streets of Indian School and Scottsdale Road.
Anything you can think of that is a must do? Best Mexican food, pub, etc?
R&R has a great happy hour from 3-7 in scottsdale.
Well, Jen mentioned Brat Haus. That is a must.
If you want a unique Mexican experience, my recommendation is Barrio Queen http://barrioqueen.com/welcome.html . Another good one is Los Sombreros http://lossombreros.com/ . If you want more straight forward, Los Olivos http://www.losolivosrestaurants.com/ .
If you enjoy Brat Haus, you would most likely also enjoy Papago Brewery http://www.papagobrewing.com/ .
R&R does have a solid happy hour. Was just there for a company event on Tuesday. http://rnrscottsdale.com/
My plan for my four days is to eat Mexican food, drink beer, buy some cheap American goods, and a hike. In saying that I will probably visit all of those places.
Also, holy shit, all of those places are dirt cheap.
Yeah, and the food is pretty damn good at r&r... The sliders, ahi tacos or the animal fries are all excellent for happy hour choices... I went the other day and had like 5 beers and animal fries, I wanna say it was like $20
Butterfields is good for pancakes. http://butterfieldsrestaurant.com/index.asp
I also think the Coach House is a great dive bar during the week and the days on the weekends. On Friday and Saturday nights, it gets douchey (but every place in Scottsdale does).

Patties First Avenue Lounge is also a great dive bar. I know someone that got engaged in the alley at Patties; she was in the alley because she went out there to puke. (no link; google for yelp/facebook)
Rogue Bar has electro/indie stuff in there on some / most nights. Very hipster laden. (no link; google for yelp/facebook)
Artisan Ice Cream place by where you're staying: http://sweetrepublic.com/
If you decide you want some Italian, DeFalcos has the best meatball sub I've ever had, hands down. http://defalcosdeli.com/
Wow, thanks for planning my trip guys. Now who wants to get drunk?
If you want to get drunk, Four Peaks (local brewery) has a location a couple miles from where you are staying, and there's a pretty sweet Irish Bar called Skeptical Chymist in the same complex.
