I wish Wally George could come back to life so I could throw a slice of cheese pizza at him if he showed up at Coachella.

The pizza is too expensive to throw at people, even if they deserve it.

Don't say such things about Wally, Ken.

You didn't agree with Wally, but you loved him.

    Don't even pretend you didn't.

Later in life i would extend my internship at KROQ into one at KDOC where i would compile requests for the Request Video countdown. i would see Wally pretty regular in the studio or by the copy machine. Somehow I missed this when the thread was originally active.

That sounds awesome. I am so jealous that I wasn't there. Would have been a great teenage memory for sure. I was probably too young at the time, though. Didn't you have to be 18 to get in?

You're 4 years older than me, so I was probably really young at the time. I don't think they would have let in a 12-year-old.

Oh well. That's what I get for being born in 1972.

I wish I was there! Almost as much fun as a Kevin and Bean's singles party!

    BUMP

    Attention all Wally George fans!

There will be a Wally George convention on September 21 at 6pm in Orange County.

Several past guests from the show will be in attendance.

Convention is open to anyone who was a fan of Wally George.

    Info is here:

    http://blogs.ocweekly.com/navelgazin..._alumni_ho.php

    It's free.

I will be attending, as will kroqken. You are welcome to come, just e-mail Jeff Tolcher (his e-mail address is in the article above) in advance if you want to go.

You can also show up if you have wanted to beat me up for the past 6 years but didn't know where to find me, or if you simply want to verify that kroqken and I are two different people.

my 6th or 7th grade history teacher was on the Wally George show a couple times. I forgot what the shows were about, but I remember that he never really got to talk much and that one of them had a KKK dude on the panel with him.

I don't see how a reunion of guests would be that much fun without Wally.

There will be an OC Weekly article about this convention. It will appear on their webpage late next week (I'd say around October 3).

Funny story about the girl who wrote it.

She was interviewing me and Ken, and at one point she said to me, "So I saw you wrote that you really wanted to see Wally in person, but never got a chance."

    I was like, "WTF?!"

So I asked, "What do you mean I WROTE? Where did you see any of my writing? How did you even know my name until just a few minutes ago?"

She said, "I read it on the Coachella message board."

I asked how she connected me to Archie Bunker.

She said, "I saw Ken's picture there, so I knew who he was, and I assumed that you had to be Archie."

She didn't tell me her name here, but claimed she hasn't posted in 4 or 5 years.

Her name is Taylor Hamby, if that helps.
