Will people get busted for bringing in like a gram of pot? Will they search your tent for alcohol? what are the real rules. I know they have to say "no drugs/alcohol allowed inside", but every festival says that, and I see guys displaying cases of shrooms right out in the open. sooo yea...

Well really, I've always wanted to know. I always hear of the no drugs/alcohol policies, and I myself have never brought any in to any festivals, just wondering how a large percentage get away with it. Especially past security. Also, please dont be rude, I wasn't rude to you. Thanks.

It's pretty presumptuous to ask people that spend every day on here, often relvealing real life details about themselves, to flaut the rules and laws on a message board run by the festival and often looked at by the festival organizers. There is a thing called subtlety.

If you can't figure out how to get get drungs and alcohol in, then you shouldn't be trying. It really isn't that difficult.

There was a couple next to me during Massive Attack that was smoking pot. They got it in, but they were definitely trying to be discreet. I heard lots of rumors last year about people getting busted, but I didn't see anyone get busted. I wasn't really paying attention though. People kept asking my husband if he was selling because he was wearing a fanny pack (he wasn't), so maybe you shouldn't wear a fanny pack. Dunno. A little tip, try the camper's entrance to the festival (you have to camp or be VIP though).

I got busted smoking a J by a security guy in the dance tent at around 11:30pm last year. He told me to put it out, I started to go drop it on the ground and he turned around and said, "Ah man, forget it. Don't worry about it. Have a good time." Took off his security shirt and went dancing. I almost pissed myself laughing.

only people I've seen get "busted" were dealing! and a thats a nono!

and it's easy to get stuff in, there's cops, but it's not like they finger your crotch or anything. i'd say nocturnal security is stricter than coachella. i had a friend who had to sneak chapstick into nocturnal.

at the entrance last year the security guy made it clear to all of us that they were just checking for weapons (ie. don't worry about the joints in your sock)....

we did have some overzealous security guards run over and flash their lights at us in the tent before daft though...i think one of them noticed my friend taking his asprin...

I saw several people get escorted out for smoking J's last year.
Just use common sense. Don't be obvious, make sure you're in the middle of a crowd away from security if you're gonna partake. Never light up on the sidelines.
