Thread: Yet another reason to not drink and drive....

  1. #1

Default Yet another reason to not drink and drive....

Late Thursday night/ Friday morning, I was slammed into buy a drunk driver. He hit my driver side door and I broke my leg and sustained a concussion. The motherfucker who hit had his license suspended for a previous DUI and had no insurance. Please don't drink and drive because in most situations, its the person not drinking that gets hurt, like in my case, and the person who is drinking gets away without a scratch.

Sorry to hear that man. Glad you are ok though. Drunk Driving is scary. When I was young I thought it was one of those things people stop doing once they get older, like smoke cigarettes. Just the opposite.

I know so many people that drive trashed. It's fucking scary. Not just buzzed, literally fucked up.
Then I will hold you down and spit her percolations all over you until you're as greasy as the day she regrets pushing your big fat ass out her big fat cunt.

drunk driving is one of the most wreckless things you can do...

i'm in high school, and i have come across people my age (18) that have literally told me they drive better when under the influence

    very scary shit indeed.

    Sorry about your accident.

I have to admit I drink and drive almost every weekend and on most Thursdays. I drive even when I'm smashed and don't remember how I got home the following morning.

It's become a habit of mine and one day I'm probably going pay the price for it.

i did it once but it was 3 am or so and in my hometown no one is up and out at that time. i think i saw maybe one other car on the whole drive. nonetheless it was a stupid decision and i decided i'd never ever do it again.

deviate, i hope your leg heals quickly.

Are we talking San Diego here? 'Cause that's quite the regular instance around these parts.

    Deviate,

I am sorry about the bad news, that's a damn shame what happened to you, and just think it happens to millions of people, in many instances entire families in one car. Just be thankful you are okay. As for the drunk driver that hit you, I'm sure a nice visit to the county morgue and an entire Saturday in a Mother's Against Drunk Drivers seminar, not to mention some jail time with bubba and about $10 grand will do his dumb ass just fine.

Nice way to think of it...you will have to pay the price...nevermind the people you will hit and perhaps even kill. Its thinking like this that keeps assholes like you drinking and driving without giving a fuck about what could happen to other people.

that is fucking lame, sorry to hear.

it's amazes me how many people have DUIs. one of my ex-boyfriends got one recently and i was secretly relieved. one of the reasons i broke up with him was because he'd get drunk and drive and i'd try to stop him and he'd treat me like i was an idiot for trying to stop him.

hope you have a speedy recovery!

in my experiences there are two types of people: those who have gotten a dui and those who haven't been caught...yet. almost everyone drinks and drives at some point, unfortunately. i stay off the roads after 10pm most nights around here in newport beach due to the amount of bars in the area and the limited roads out of town.

Beach towns are the scariest. I work in Newport. I try to get outta here on Fridays ASAP, 'cuz sometimes it's sadly obvious how blitzed people are on the road and it's not even 4pm yet.

I agree with there are two types of people - luckily I haven't been caught. I can't pass judgment on others being that I have been guilty of driving under the influence - and amyzzz it's not just alcohol that can impair your driving ability.

Deviate - get healthy, and what a bummer!!

The guy who hit me was blew a .22 WELL over the legal limit. I didn't post this to get sympathy, but rather to urge everyone, Including myself, not to drink and drive.

Only he specifically said drinking and driving. I was responding to what he said.

that's what sucks about arizona. everywhere you go party inevitably ends up being far from your house. it's also hard to find cab companies. i tried to find one near my birthday party so i could give out the number to people just in case, but i couldn't find one even close!!!

here people have to go to tent city when they get DUIs too.

Yeah, cabs are reason enough to avoid tent city.

I've never had a problem getting a cab. I just ask the bartender to call one about 15 minutes before I leave. It's always out there when I stumble out.

It's true that everything is so far away and it can get pricey, but I'd rather just take the cab and spend the money than get a DUI.

designated drivers are where it's at.
although as someone <21 i don't have the bar problem, and at parties the worst case scenario is spending the night there. which isn't bad at all.
