I also hate extremely flashy and/or highly decorated handbags. Anything with excessive chains, rhinestones/studs, logos, slogans, patent leather, etc. are just totally disgusting to me. Unfortunately, they're the types of purses I see the most. Hardly anything I find fits my criteria of function/size and style/design.
I like my bags made of leather and as plain as can be. I basically only own Dooney & Burke bags from the late 80s/early 90s, but I've been dying for something simpler and sleeker for a long time.
I have rules about purses. They don't have to be brand name if they meet the following criteria:
They must have a strap long enough to go cross body and it must be adjustable. Must have at least one interior pocket and one exterior pocket big enough for a phone. Mid sized, not too large, so it doesn't look like it's wearing me. And it must lie relatively flat to my body and have a zipper, not a clasp at the main opening. I rarely buy purses for this reason. But my best friends bought me a Kate Spade black bag for my 40th and it's pretty damn near perfect, because they know all my rules, and it's been all I've carried for two years.
I really do like the all black one, but also the silver/black one. The silver/black would match my current jacket, but I need a new jacket anyways. I was originally leaning towards the silver so I can be seen better at night, but I rarely ever ride at night.
I am unsure what y'all are talking about with crotch stains. I need to be enlightened.
Well, these are just riding pants, anyways. I usually only ride to/from work, so I would be changing out of them once I get off the bike. Doesn't matter, I may go with the black/black.
Really cute dress. What kind of shoes will you wear with it? That's always my biggest problem when I think to wear a summer dress to the festival is the shoes!
I always wear my converse and I guess feel too clunky with a dress, even though I think other women look cute in them with dresses.
Thanks, ladies. I thought it was funny to see it on someone else a couple weeks before I decided to wear it.
I'm the same, as far as not really trying to match. I basically bring one pair of super comfortable neutral flats and one pair of comfortable neutral boots and go from there.
I think Converse would look adorable with that dress, and I love the dress too.
Casey if you don't mind sharing...where is that dress from?
That cut of dress always seems to work well on my body shape, and I look pretty good in yellow
Great dress, Casey! I love the mustard color. I just found a super cute orange dress from Lauren for Coachella And yeah, I don't worry about shoes. Something flat and comfy. Probably Con Lights and China doll flats. Ooooh that reminds me, I have an orange pair of China doll flats that I've never worn! I wonder if it's the same orange? Gotta go look!!!
I took off the belt and added a little extra lining to make the skirt fuller. Obviously mine is the knockoff version of hers but it's just for Coachella
LOVE ModCloth! I need to start shopping for this festival today
I am in love with this. http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses...dress-in-smoke
I never click on the links to clothes you girls post because I just assume they are all skinny girl sizes. I am bored at work today and clicked, now I know they have plus sizes. I didn't need to know that.
There are some very cute dresses on there that I would love to own, but way out of my normal shopping price range. I am super cheap when it comes to clothing. $150+ for a dress is just more than I am willing to spend. I bought a coachella dress at the dillards clearance store for $20.
