my doctor told me the shot makes you gain crazy weight and is a really bad idea for anyone who isn't a super high-risk teenager. this is after i'd been on it for a year. also it has totally fucked with the hormonal balance of everyone i've known to take it. my step sister turned into satan when she got on it.

Also, I rarely wear makeup. I used to wear it whenever I went out, but I don't go out much anymore. I think I wore Blistex at Coachella. I don't really need lipstick anyway. My lips are huge.

birth control makes me more crazy than i already am. it sucks. nothing i've tried works. i haven't tried the nuva ring though. i had a friend who also went crazy on birth control, and some how the nuva ring made her crazier which was strange.

personally, i think birth control makes every woman a little crazier. it just has a much more noticable affect on people like me i guess. has anyone else experienced this?

also, YOU CAN STILL GET PREGNANT ON BIRTH CONTROL. so be careful, ladies. and make sure to take that shit at the same time every day.

and i don't have tattoos.

The Depo shot is bad because it's like this big surge of the progesterone hormone into your system all at once, which confuses your body. But it's good for women in high risk categories (irresponsible teenagers, drug addicts, etc) that may otherwise forget a daily method like a pill or a weekly method like the patch.

I've always been curious about the IUD, but it also sort of freaks me out.

My doctor told me the IUD would interfere with an already fertilized embryo, preventing it from implantation or some shit. That sounded like abortion to me, which I would never do personally. (I don't care if other women do it, just not me).

i've heard the shot can also help cause endometriosis. also, if you want to have kids some day, it can be harder after being on depo for awhile (again, only what i've heard).

for me though, it really heightened my emotions. i'm pretty emotional to begin with, so that's not a good thing. i found myself getting really upset over stuff that normally would annoy me for a few minutes, but then i'd be over it. i felt like i lost some of my ability to be logical, lol. i gained a shitload of weight. i became depressed. i didn't want to go out and i was tired all time. it really affected my cycle too.

and the worst part is, you're stuck with it for months.
