Kat, I would also suggest finding a strong core group of girls to spend time with. When I first got back out into the world I found a group of older women I worked with that really helped me realize I wasn't the horrible person I thought I was.

Great advice ladies. especially with surrounding yourself with a good group of friends.
Kat, start with finding one or two things that you really like about yourself and accentuate them. Try to put yourself in positions that those traits can excel in and you'll build more and more confidence in that area. then you can start finding other things that you like about yourself that you know you can be better with and start trying to make them stronger strengths that you can build on. Once you've identified your strengths and used them to your advantage in social and professional settings, you can start working on identifying your weakness and trying to overcome them as well.
LIFE COACH
I think I should be Katt's life coach.
... Strangely, I think I'd be the one in tears.
Thanks, ladies. I think it's time I start watching Parenthood again...
I'm learning a lot about the women at the dive bar I've taken a residency at.
Mostly that they all do meth.

Dive bars are my favorite bars ever. I have come to realize I am old because I can no longer stand being in night clubs, but find a nice little hole in the wall bar somewhere, no name, just a sign over the door that says cocktails, a pool table, jukebox and a stiff drink and I am a happy fucking girl. But yeah, the waitresses and most of the women who have bellied up to the bar are on meth.
When I had lost all the weight I had lost a couple years ago one of the drunk ladies who always sat at the end of the bar came up and raved about how much weight I was losing and then told me "you know, that stuff will rott your teeth". I almost punched her.
I don't get HBO or any pay channels, which sucks because I am almost caught up with Dexter and will have to wait for the new season to come out on Netflix. I am taking recommendations for new shows so let me know how it goes and I might add it to my list once it's out on DVD. We have Mad Men next I think.
yes! i don't have HBO either so i have to mooch of people to watch it but i really like it so far as well. you should also check out Tiny Furniture [streaming on netflix] which was also written and directed by lena dunham. she's one clever lady, i'm a bit jealous.
I've heard about the show, but haven't seen it yet. I think I'll have to schedule a date with my TV and get caught up OnDemand very soon![]()
