Sasquatch was a huge clusterfuck. Sarah Silverman is a cunt and I hope they didn't pay her. The Beastie Boys kick so much ass. And beer went up dramatically in price, drastically affecting my (underaged) enjoyment of concerts. Anyone else have comments?

The Long Winters were retarded. The lead singer brought up that they were "from Seattle" about ten times. And he said things like "Wow, the sun is setting. That's the best part of the night here at The Gorge. I know because some buddies and me go to shows here all the time."

Oh yeah, Arcade Fire totally fucking owned. Completely. Bjork was way more engaging than I thought she woudl be. And Viva Voce continues to melt my face and leave me begging for more. They are without a doubt the best of the guy/girl relationship rockers. They played a cover of Eye in the Sky by The Alan Parsons Project that completely made me lose my shit.

I only attended Saturday, but that was not an impressive festival. Maybe I've been spoiled by Coachella being my first, but the organizers [did they exist??] were derelict, the majority of line-up was for me to wipe my ass with, and that instrumental garage-type set that Beastie Boys played at the Wookie made me want to run a steamroller over my Anthology cds.

Did they do any new material? I was just listening to Paul's Boutique earlier this morning. Thats a great album.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't say. I listened to two [2] (and exactly 2 songs] before moving on. Actually, it was one and a half, because I started making my way out of the crowd during the second song.

I didn't recognize the first two, but then again, I'm no blind Beastie Boy nuthugger like some who were at Sasquatch. Manu Chau [and RADIO BEMBA!! RADIO BEMBA!! (repeat)] was pleasant; I had the opportunity to enjoy his set a lot more there than at Coachella.

I think they are trying to build a reputation for playing instrumental shows and being able to pull it off skillfully. I like the new stuff they played a lot. Their new album is going to be interesting at the least, and could be amazing.

By "instrumental stuff" do you just mean spinning records? Or do they actually play instruments too?

They play instruments like your neighborhood high schoolers would [maybe worse], and sing. I thought that by instrumental they meant Explosions In the Sky-like, but no, they meant shitty music not worth paying 5$ cover for.
