This lineup is good, and I know the comedians will only make it better.

Anything that contains Brandy AND the Flaming Lips is good in my book.
She & Him's Volume 3 might just be my favorite album this year. They finally hit that Motwon inspired, 70s AM pop with some panache. "Somebody Sweet to Talk To" is such a catchy tune and a perfect...

Fade - Yo La Tengo
I really like this new Vampire Weekend album. "Diane Young" and "Ya Hey" definitely show some 80s pop influence. This is an improvement over the previous album for sure.
Hmm... it never crossed my mind, but I gotta hit up records stores in Bakersfield later this month.
(Lucky me, I got a wedding to go to in Bakersfield... on Memorial Day weekend!)
Going to the bay this weekend, guess I gotta go to Rasputin and pick up another Orange Juice release. Only got You Can't Hide Your Love Forever on RSD.
Well, shit. And the east gets YO LA TENGO as opener. Damn.
Oh, Torii Hunter is batting .358. Always been one of my favorite players, kinda wanna see Tigers win it all just for Torii.
I've been getting straight razor shaves lately, and I'm quite fond of being pampered.
Used Coachella to work on the farmer's tan.

That B&S date in Santa Barbara is killing me. Hopefully they do something special for LA. Or even SF, considering they only did a festival show on their last tour.
I love going to Angels games with half empty stadiums. It's nostalgic. But I'd rather they suck with a bunch of nobodies and future somebodies than these big contract busts.
The Zombies. Want.
So, Deerhunter. Nice.
Grinderman
Janelle Monae
Hot Chip
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Beach House
I'm open for any time this weekend. I really don't have any must-sees on too early.
Right there with you!
I've already seen Os Mutantes and am gonna be out of town when Man or Astroman come by again. Living in the LA area, I'm sure I'll be spoiled enough to see both acts somewhere down the line.
Os Mutantes and Man or Astroman? conflict for me. Otherwise, it's all good.
Finally get to see: Black Angels, Boris, Man or Astroman? and Tinariwen! In the same fucking weekend!
I expected Hunter to post another two solid years. Instead of keeping Torii around and finding another worthwhile starter, they bet on Hamilton. I'm sure both Hamilton and Hunter will have similar...
And of course, Torii Hunter is doing well with the Tigers. Fucking Angels.
Wiki says Ramones released their debut earlier that year on Sire.
Moz has an adoration for Iggy Pop, I know that. Not too sure what he thinks of the Stooges, though.
Anyway, there's no reason...
It was written July 1976, so there's that. And I think you're reading too much into the Stooges reference.
I thought Punk was actually hurt? Ryback/Henry will drag. Shame they went all this way just to promote G.I. Joe 2. Maybe Taker comes back? He looked to be in good form.
A shop down here just announced some RSD items for sale already, including Orange Juice and Zaireeka. Shame, I just paid bills with this paycheck.
Life is a competition.
As far as rasslin' goes, this streak match was better than HHH or Michaels. Great Wrestlemania to this point. Even the Henry win was good. Would have been better had he put Ryback out, but I guess...
Ha! This is so silly. Can't say I disagree with Moz on the Ramones, though. Seems like people misunderstand Morrissey and get caught up in attacking the caricature we've made him out to be.
I went into this thinking it'd be one less conflict at Coachella, but this was such a fun show that I may just have to catch them again.
Couldn't tell they've been gone so long. On top of their sound and they looked excited to be back. Michael's voice may have even sounded better than on record. They played most stuff from Sixteen...
40. But worth it.
Went to Pomona and picked up an early RSD treat: The Three O'Clock - Live at the Old Waldorf.
Also finally got around to adding The Message to my library and picked up Cocteau...
local shop carried m b v... yes!!!!
Oh, Angels. Gonna be a difficult year, especially with a one man rotation.
Anyone get a screen grab, or am I being taken for a fool?
It's hard to like the Who after 1971.
Hope there's good variety at Coachella, or at least hoping the record shops in OC will carry some of the titles I want for a while.
Building I work in has a free fitness center now. It's empty when I go. :)
Also, now vegan.
I see another 5-10 falling off of me in the next month. I've never felt so healthy. I have a clavicle!
For some reason I felt the need to spend some cash on At War With The Mystics. It sounds so good. And it's nice having the nice artwork in front of me. Fuck, I love this album!
Gonna get a ticket for that Arkestra show and just hope that they pop up at a local club. I could see Yoshi's booking them up north.
Does Girl Talk do a mashup with "Imagine"? If so, I walked by his set in 2007.
Anyone got presale password for this one?
Hopefully they get Throbbing Gristle-like slot/time.
I should stop opening this thread. Too much good stuff.
My neighbor's relative passed away and he's selling her records. He let me pick through everything and gave me a sweet deal. Took about 50 LPs, a stack of Beatles 45s, and a dresser full of 45s for...
Was gonna order mine tonight, but vinyl and CD aren't for sale at the moment. Hope the packaging problems are resolved when it goes back on sale.
Bought Among The Leaves LP at Kozelek's show last night. I saw it had just gone on sale last week and already sold out online. I'm hoping some of his older stuff gets reissued.
Zaireeka tempts me.
I could go for the Roky Erickson and The Seeds 7"s, and Horn of Plenty reissue.
Best artist he's seen live? Nina Simone.
Also a Bunny Munro movie in the works.
