    Re: Fuji Rock Festival 2010

Blue Stapler, given the video you have linked how much of the festival do they broadcast on TV? Highlight package or full sets?

    Re: Set Time Predictions- FRIDAY

What have you found so far out of interest? I assume that any kind of formula would involve counter-programming? Methods not to have the crowd at one stage be bigger then 50% of the other stages?

Re: John Waters: The Pope of Trash

I saw John Waters last week. Absolutely filthy, disgusting show. I loved it. Not sure how it will translate to being in a tent with noisebleed all around, but I think it will be well appreciated.
  8. Re: Make a Coachella Lineup In Retrospective - COMPETITION!

I follow that entirely but disagree (thus agreeing to disagree). I've justified my headliner choice and feel it's realistic. I don't think The Killers or Jack Johnson are great headliner choices, but...
  9. Re: Make a Coachella Lineup In Retrospective - COMPETITION!

I think we will have to agree to disagree. Eno and Cale both had extensive careers as part of their bands and on their own. Hardly obscure in my opinion. Just as Waters and McCartney did, a...
  10. Re: Make a Coachella Lineup In Retrospective - COMPETITION!

99% of the population haven't heard of The Velvet Underground or Roxy Music? I admit that Eno & Cale isn't the most mainstream choice, but for me that's part of Coachella's charm - it's a festival...

  15. Re: Make a Coachella Lineup In Retrospective - COMPETITION!

One of the Splendour promoters indicated that Mumford & Sons would be back later in the year to tour (and no doubt play Splendour). Possibility for Fuji Rock?

Acts that are big in the UK tend to get recognition here before they get big in the States. As for local bands, there is some good stuff but ahead of the world musically - nah.

Yes, the animosity does break out at the event. You might want to bring a broom - it's usually shenanigans.

The Whitlams formed in 92 and only started making noise locally in 97. The Corrs wouldn't have played in April 91. Too Much Joy is listed twice. Inner Circle is listed twice.

2 Live Crew didn't release their first single until '85, then only hit the national spotlight in '89.

Not to mention Lou Reed appearing on Saturday twice, on the second last line and the last line.
