I love acquiring knowledge
What is so great?
One of the most influential but underrated UK bands of the early 1990s is back together: Kitchens of Distinction. They have their new album out: Folly. I think they would be a perfect reunion band...
Many people showed up. An article is on the OC Weekly.com site. http://www.ocweekly.com/2013-10-03/culture/wall-george-hot-seat/full/
Oh, and its Rudi Krause, not Rudy Krause. I miss his "Super Cosmic Visor".
I will be there.
Isn't that Krayshawn?
All Los Angeles needs to know is that Eric Garcetti is the better choice for mayor, Wendy Gruel sucks. Also, for controller, Ron Galperin is the smarter choice, Dennis Zine is a stupid hack, and a...
It is time to reunite REM for Coachella 2014, it would be a legendary performance. However, I am doubtful they will reunite this soon. SOmething tells me the headliners will be the Foo Fighters, the...
I preferred Weekend 1 because there were more surprises, although the weather was better for Weekend 2 this year (and last).
Record Store Days should not be on the same weekend as Coachella. How can us Coachella attendees expect to partake in RSD? I think future Record Store Days should be on a day when there is no...
I was in the front for them on Week 1. They nailed it, an epic performance, so deserving of a headlining gig. I am sad some reviews say they were sparsely attended. It seemed packed to me.
The stokes were my favorite performance in 2011. I left after because Kanye is a douchebag, and I see why he would knock up a Kardashian. I saw PJ Harvey after the Strokes ended.
Also, does anyone know why the Feelies have never played the west coast since they reunited back in 2008?
I like DIIV more than the Beach Fossils.
I only like the Monkees that allowed for evolution to occur and piss off the "creationists" on the Religious Right.
A very influential indie pop bands from my youth, the Feelies has been back together since 2008. I looked at their website at recent past shows and they only seem to play on the east coast. I think...
I said anyway, not anymore.
I appreciate the kind words. It helps me get over the breakup of Kitchens of Distinction.
Isaac is not a fan of what, Coachella, festivals in general, his own band, what? Please clarify.
I am not interested in anyone underage, so it does not matter what myspace does to their pages as I do not look at those type of pages anyway.
You mean the Foo Fighters? They are on hiatus. However, Dave Grohl is giving the keynote address at SXSW.
It was good for discovering new bands. Underage girls (or anyone else underage) should have their page automatically private and not be able to receive messages or friends requests from those 18 or...
No way, if that was true, Goldenvoice/AEG would never have used them again.
Sorry for not seeing this thread earlier, I did search before I started my own. Does anyone know if I can keep my old profile on the new MySpace?
Now they got to revive tagged, hi5, friendwise and orkut.
I missed them, I must have been at another stage at that time.
Will I be able to keep my old profile once the new Myspace is up for the public? I would hate to lose all 265,000 of my friends and have to start over? What's it like working with Justin Timberlake?
The Breeders are an above average band, not great but far better tahn mediocre. I rank them above Clem Snide but below Black Tamborine. Above the Afghan Whigs but below Chapterhouse.
All these years later and I still say fuck Ticketmaster. At least Coachella uses Frontgate Tickets now.
My favorite song was "Safari" from their debut EP. The video was AMAZING, so many retro mood rings worn by the Deal sisters. I regret that I missed the revamped Breeders play the El Rey Theatre a...
Actually, I had a brain fart. Joe Walsh (the congressman) LOST to Tammy Duckworth in an Illinois district. Joe Walsh the singer will NEVER play Coachella.
As for myspace, I have over 265,000 friends but am worried that I may lose them and have to start over when the new Myspace is done with its beta testing and goes "live". Here is my page...
That is one of my favorite older bands. I know there are Close Lobster videos on Youtube. At least they are all still alive, unlike the lead singer of Ethyl Meatplow who died last week.
Was that "victim" just a mere actress. She she deserved getting a SAG card for that act. I bet she is no longer alive, but she may have an attractive grandaughter ins some suburb like Cerritos or...
It's good to have taste, especially after seeing what horrible music won at the American Music Awards based on the votes of "the people".
What if they need a bigger boat?
And before this thread gets totally sidetracked, what do you all think about the "new" Myspace? I think it has potential, it may damage Soundcloud and Bandcamp.
That is a weak 80s band, I prefer edgier bands like Close Lobsters or Ultravox.
What restaurant is that from? I know it isn't the one remaining Sambos in Santa Barbara.
If old hipsters get osteoporosis, they suffer from a "broken hip"ster if they fall down.
Hey, this is not a power point that was supposed to be seen by the general public (or even the English Beat). Don't worry TomAz, at least Ron Barber was reelected in your state.
I hope they keep it at 2 days. I want more music, not less.
A good anthem would be "!9" by Paul Hardcastle to reflect the relatively young age of most attendees, not because it is about dead soldiers in Vietnam.
I did not find out about the show until it sold out, a real regret I missed it. What did you all think of the opening band the Amazing? Two of those dudes are also in Dungen.
I still am upset that Michelle Bachmann and Joe Walsh (the congressman, not the singer) were somehow reelected.
I saw that dude almost get in a fight with his opponent at a debate. It was like a pro wrestling match.
Hostess Brands > Bisquick
Stone Roses for sure. Also, Honey Cocaine because she looks good (not her musical ability).
I feel like the Wiki Leaks dude who leaked some top secret corporate information.
