I love both the Killers and Muse!
I'm definitely stoked for it. There are so many times I want to go back to the campground during the day to eat my own food, take a shower, and have a drink.
Because people are beginning to understand that there's close to a zero percent chance of him ever playing Coachella.
Please don't play with my heart like this. It hurts.
Damn, I really was hoping to see lady gaga at Coachella... :(
Thank you GV. These changes are wonderful :)
Now you went and turned me on.
You're right about that, but drugs can make a great performance, even greater. Seeing Prince whilst tripping was mind-blowing.
Anyone who sells a crapton of records that is.
The "Daft Punk is Playing" ride is the best around. Super high peaks and huge, dramatic falls.
WRONG!
(I'm completely straight, but if Gaga is a tranny, she could do me all night)
I agree, that flows much better.
How about this: Faith No More/Massive Attack/Gorrilaz
I really hope GV decides to do this. If the Gorillaz new album is as great as their old ones, this progression could rival Portishead/Prince.
Honestly, 4 days is too long for a festival where you camp.
I'd be pretty stoked with that lineup.
but WHY would he play Coachella? I would really love to hear some solid reasoning that might go through Bowie's head that would convince him to play Coachella if he wouldn't play Glastonbury.

Yes I know nme does not mean for sure, but I did say "reportedly"
This. I missed Gui Boratto last year because my ride from the airport took a less than ideal route...I REALLY would love the opportunity to see him in a primetime slot.
Ok, why does anyone think that David Bowie will EVER play Coachella? He reportedly turned down an offer to headline Glastonbury's 40th anniversary in 2010, so why in the hell would he play at...
too much techno
Yeah, this seems totally appropriate. He lives in CA, has a new band album and a new remix album, could go live or DJ, and put on a great set in 08 (he was the very first musician I saw at my very...
Not nearly as epic, imo, but I'd most definitely watch him.
I hope you're right about the pattern; I've only been to two Coachellas and 2008 was definitely better than 2009, at least in my opinion.
The undercards here are so strong that I wouldn't care about the crappy headliners.
This:
Friday:
Muse
Pavement
Moby
Saturday:
Arcade Fire
Lady Gaga
What happened to the Sahara?
But would you do it to the beat of Pokerface?
Gaga should be at Coachella. I will happily fist pump to pokerface for hours on end.
ooh! that is quite nice.
We have like IDENTICAL musical tastes.
I'll admit, my wording of "musical similarities" was a little misleading.
I'm not saying their sounds are the same, I'm saying that they both are turning electro house music away from a bass focus...
i like the new guy
Cher: YES
Bette Midler: NO
in my opinion, they also have some musical similarities: they both provide electro/house beats without the hard focus on bass that's been prevalent for the last year or so. Optimally, it would be...
They are both duos of well known DJs (MJ=Diplo & Switch, Ducksauce=Armand Van Helden & A-trak).
I'm being 100% for real when I say that seeing Celine Dion would be a dream come true.
You seem to understand my musical tastes...
him and deadmau5 were both pretty darn lame.
Wow, I can't stand Ducksauce. Way too light and funky for my tastes. Have you listened to their mixmag cd from last month?
if only that was real...
Anyone who's seriously following electro is aware that Major Lazer (Diplo + Switch) is a big, genre-crossing deal. Check this shit out!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Lady Gaga would be wonderful to have at Coachella. I know some you hardcore board members aren't fans, but she puts on one hell of show that would not only...
Wow, I really hated that.
Non-Sahara:
Lady Gaga
Portishead
Daft Pank (on main stage of course!)
Sahara:
Wolfgang Gartner (seriously GV, get this guy. He has been one of the top electro artists of 2009 and in my...
A-greed. However, I've seen Vaski and Scrubfish and neither were close to as amazing as Bassnectar.
The only "dubstep" artist that deserves to be at Coachella is Bassnectar. His performances are worldclass.
If all these artists are there, this will be an AMAZING year for the Sahara.
In the bar connected to the campground they sell bloody marys, which seem to rather popular in the morning before the festival opens up. I've never tried one (they sound gross as hell), but there...
1. Bring at least 1 Coachella virgin with me
2. Arrive Thursday night instead of friday morning (TRAFFIC)
3. Meet more board members; I've only met like 5 of you.
4. Bring more MONEY
5. Try one...
it's just one of those "wishlist" sort of things
P.S. -I'd love to see him too.
