met some of the roadies in palm springs during the week after the show and they said that they were being arsey about the set up and requested changes to the set up 4 times before going on..

yeah.. kinda.. wasnt allowed on the i10 and pretty much left la for about 30 miles and in to palm springs for last 20 or so miles..
stayed in palm springs for 3 days after so rode around there in...

yeah i know its' not the best idea to do it fixed, but the holiday in general is a fixed ride.. so i want to at least attempt this fixed as i dont have much else choice (other than pack the bike up...

i'm hoping once i get out there i'll meet some folks who have done similar routes or give me some route advice to avoid such situations.

hmm.. thats a fair bigger elevation than i was hoping, i may have to persuade to get aquanga if thats the only route from la - avoiding highways of course.

i'm heading out in a few days and will do some planning before - dont wanna camp on route, shitty motels would suffice.

160 odd miles. the freeway is a concern but i'm hoping there will be alternative routes that mitigate that risk.
