    Any chance it could be gout? One time I had it and couldn't even let a sheet touch it. This was after surgery when I was doped up on dilaudid. Even with that on board the pain was still intense.

    Tiredness can come from low iron. Dude just needs to suck it up and head to an urgent care/walk in clinic for some bloodwork.
