aaaaah somebody let me in!!! pretty please!
maps & atlases - solid ground
speaking of john darnielle a page ago (seriously, people- wtf?), a gem from one of his writing partners, franklin bruno:
we were resting on the couch
there was nothing much to watch
other than...
were you guys in forum camping? was he wearing a blue shirt? cause i saw that dude like seventy times.
the dolab was my first destination on friday after having an AMAZING time in there last year.
what a disappointment. the entire place basically looked like an MTV spring break set... and maybe a...
exactly this.
+15k people = no room for large-scale installations like the hand of man, serpent mother, tesla coils... more profit from ticket sales AND less money spent on art! sweet.
way to go, GV.
what C DUB YA said.
clusterfuck indeed.
unacceptable numbers of people. GV had to know that it was going to be this bad and disregarded that out of greed. i will not be back if that many tickets are sold again.

loved camping last year. fucking hated it this year.
next year i'm collecting a group of friends to go in on a rental close to venue and we're riding bikes. i was so glad to leave monday morning.

no blisters this year.
aidz needles.
also, bees.
no shit. its kind of an ocd planning thing, but WTF. i'm leaving tonight and won't have a map. sweet.
hahaha i feel like for next year we should start planning this as soon as coachella 2010 is over. then we can have "plans".
okay.. so i'm gonna text you guys some more tomorrow, but here's my situation:
my fuckstick ex-boyfriend and i are no longer going to coachella together. i am rideless, but i have a camping pass...
but where do you keep your computer during the day? 'puters die in hot cars!
this is the first year for car camping.
i absolutely agree about the first song. i bet your venue was better than mine, too. again, maybe it's just the mindset i was in-- i saw six films that day, so i was a bit annoyed at the brainmelt...
saw it at sundance. it was pretentious and mostly boring, with the exception of the opening two songs... but i was 100% sober, so take that for what it's worth.
we call that 'classy brass'
:rotfl
MAGIC EVERYWHERE IN THIS BITCH
i'm actually writing a paper on juggalo culture in utah (outer representation versus self-perception) for an anthropology class this semester. i went to a concert...
WTFOMGBBQ
odwalla c-monster is AWESOME the morning after rolling. costco sells like 1.5ish liter bottles for pretty cheap... we went through two last year. :)
sounds like you could use some drugs, boss. chill out.
Seriously. If you need a solid eight hours in order not to be a cranky fuck the next day, stay at a hotel or something... but whatever you do, DO NOT camp and then be an asshole to all the partiers...
ehh... PM me if you want recommendations on food/bars for downtown. temple square is pretty bizarre... dogmatic disneyland!
why not stake out in the parking lot for the filter pre-party on thurs night?
VIP will be parking at the corona yacht club, but non-VIP will be parking at Spotlight 29 Casino and catching cabs the...
so thisdj it looks like we're gonna miss you cause we're leaving around 7pm wednesday... gonna pack the car this weekend to see if we've got room for any drifters in need of a ride. eee!!!!
kinda concerned about this happening with the expansion of camping this year. it'd be lame to end up across the street in BFE just cause we showed at noon thursday.
http://www.coachella.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37727
yes, it's happening.
it is absolutely worth it.
but when you have to wait in line for 10+ minutes (in the raging sun) and the water is warm, you may curse the gods.
fixed.
found. thanks!
inside info from a sponsor of the party. same place.
it's happening, you're just looking in the wrong thread. http://www.coachella.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37727
it's happening. it'll be at The Corona Yacht Club, VIP will park on-site and NON VIP will park at Spotlight 29 Casino and take a cab in.
uh our meet-up pretty much just turned out to be me and my bf, and thisdj so we said fuck it. we'll be at urban lounge tonight for xiu xiu (well, more for tune-yards)...
yeah, who's in?
the real question is actually this: why the fuck do you feel compelled to post in ALL of them?
as a pale as fuck, prone-to-sun-poisoning sissy, unless it happens in the shade i'll have to sit it out. gotta budget those hours in the sun, son!
was pretty much thinking the same thing haha... your favorite torture chamber, now with blazing sun!
next weekend is super busy for us, but the weekend of march 26th is good. i vote twilite lounge, but i'm partial to dive bars.
i know jiberqaz is still desperate for passengers... PM her.
ordered yesterday-- GA 102
(and GA 12 for camping)
doesn't carpoolchella not apply to campers? or is that changing this year?
ahem. speaking of comfy shoes (i second the toms, by the way) these are abominable and hobbity but FUCK they are going to be so sweet on the grass.
...
they're fine, but go early... standing in line for 30 minutes for a shower in the hot sun is a shitty way to start off a day. bring flip-flops. don't brush your teeth in the reclaimed water washing...
i brought a ton of food last year. ended up wishing i'd just saved money for the vendors, as probably 70% of it came back home with me.
as far as the trader joe's thing, i'm going to the one in la...
