I wonder what they identified as the market opportunity here. FYF and OSL have a lot of cross-over and are much easier to get to then this. And, oh yeah, they're both within 3 weeks of this and one...

I think all but a couple of the acts on this poster I'd want to see I either saw at Coachella or would be able to see at FYF while also seeing MBV, TVOTR, and a couple others. And $150 for Passion...
Sounds about right to me. Hoping its RHCP v. Vampire Weekend because if I have to choose between RHCP (again...) and an EDM act, it won't be too fun of a night for me.
Brand New
Taking Back Sunday
Bayside
Against Me!
The Lawrence Arms
The Lillingtons
2005 me would FLIP OUT
Are the TBS and Brand New guys on speaking terms or no?
Headliners: Daft Punk, Mumford & Sons, NIN
Subs: NMH, QOTSA, The National, MGMT, The Knife, Deadmau5
KROQ crew happy with Mumford, MGMT and Deadmau5, the diehards get to see NIN, NMH, and The...
True. My buddy bought a ticket at the gate last year and I bought one the week of the fest. While YYYs and MBV are big names, I'd be shocked if it made THAT much of a difference.
I think last year it sold out 2 or 3 weeks beforehand.
I found out I couldn't go about 10-14 days before the fest last year but was still able to sell my ticket at a good price because it had just...
My ticket for last year was $89 but I bought the week of the festival. For how long were they $77?
I could be wrong but I think my buddy paid $99 at the gate...
Any chance of QOTSA as a headliner?
I could have sworn somebody tweeted at them "when do you guys play LA?" and they responded "you'll see soon enough..." but can't find it now.
Anyway,...
Grizzly Bear would headline, no? And maybe Local Natives too?
Man, if it looks anything like that...
This made me laugh.
Yeah... so I think this was the best festival lineup of 2013...
Just went to look for "Best Available" tickets for tonight. Pulled up a pair to the side of the stage lower bowl, great position.
What are they going to do with these? They hit the stage in 5...
Hmm, I logged on right at 10:00 on the Monday of the on-sale to purchase and they said non-available. Maybe I just was too slow by going on right at the on-sale.
Did you get them?
I tried to get tickets to tonight's LA show with my girlfriend - $170 after fees for each ticket was the cheapest pricing option available and we decided it wasn't worth it to sit in the far corner...
Getting between What and Which is exponentially harder than the two stages at Coachella. In 2011, it rained a bit on Saturday night and it made it very hard to get in between stages on Sunday because...
Yes. Their set on the outdoor this year was pretty sparsely populated, so can't imagine them headlining.
My GF and I left Phoenix about mid-way through (they were amazing but we needed to catch...
$329 for a GA seems high to me in general.
Then again, if you don't like pop-folk, the Bonnaroo unconflicting scheduling means there's almost no music for you for a good 3 hours on Saturday night.
Definite positives and negatives with each...
Man, incredible schedule.
I have been to Bonnaroo before, and this year was my first Coachella. I gotta admit, the 50 minute sets bummed me out a decent amount. I love how Bonnaroo has the freedom...
Why are we focusing so much on pretty large add-ons? Are we expecting them?
I thought the last year or two's add-ons have been only lineup filler at the bottom of the poster and that's what we...
I wonder where Blur, The Stone Roses, Phoenix, and RHCP would have been on the "2013 Headliners Cheat Sheet" this time last year...
KROQ has been pushing these bands like CRAZY and they all stink. Disappointing.
Would love to see the financials on this thing...
Wow those fields/tents are empty.
Probably covered already, but really hoping the "announce lineup" and "put tickets on sale" on the same day isn't the wave of the future.
I'm either/or between this and OSL, and if this thing...
Dammit. After last year's awesome lineup and seeing these rumors and YYYs I've officially gotten carried away with my expectations of what this bill is going to look like...
I have no clue what their tour plans are, but if they were to play, fun. would get the Mumford and Sons spot from 2011.
Super popular, lot of radio play... 8:30 on the main stage, 3rd on the...
What are the main act rumors?
So what's going on with this bad boy?
Pretty Lights, Mackelmore, and Bob Mould got dropped? Location changed?
Looked pretty interesting originally but now seems like a bit of a cluster...
Nick, Karen, the other guy -
Keep doing your thing.
Thoughts?

Gotta admit, a lot of those names on the bottom half of the poster are new to me. Which is an exciting prospect - got some work to do.
Didn't someone say his contract with Superfly to do Bonnaroo/OSL was for those to be his US exclusive shows? Could be wrong.
Would be a bit of a bummer since I'm flying up for LA mostly for Macca,...
The Stone Roses can headline again next year and the first weekend could still sell out on the first day.
Headliner?
Assume it isn't someone mentioned already in this thread.
Came out June 18th last year (and June 15th in 2011) but not sure if it'll be this late next year.
It's fun thinking about, but GV's going to continue promoting big acts of the moment to the headliner line, growing the headliner base. Kings of Leon, The Black Keys, Phoenix... MGMT? The National?...
Per SPIN Magazine. What most of us in here experienced.
"Best Chance to See a Hypothetical Headliner in an Intimate Setting: THE STONE ROSES
The Stone Roses are the first name you see on this...
Amen.
I had been to Bonnaroo before but this was my first Coachella. I couldn't believe:
1. How quickly I could walk in between the stages and tents
2. How much sound bleed this caused
...
My girlfriend and I left the midnight set we were at in a tent around 12:15 because she wasn't feeling good and wanted to see something where she had more room. I was actually secretly excited...
Agreed - if you swapped RHCP for QOTSA plus 2-3 bands on your list, I'd be going head over heels for this lineup. Instead I'm a decent fan, but not overly crazy about it.
Tegan and Sara, Alt-J,...
Nine Inch Nails
The National / MGMT (based on new album success)
Daft Punk
Arcade Fire 2015.
For people that have been to this festival before - is VIP worth it (looks to be $550 vs. the standard admission $250)?
The number one issue I've heard about this festival is the overcrowding....
I want to say Phoenix was out at 12:50 and New Order was out around 12:58-1:00 AM.
I walked from Phoenix to see NO's last song.
-Phoenix
-Local Natives
-Yeah Yeah Yeahs
-Vampire Weekend
-Hot Chip
(Excluded acts I've seen in the past 6-12 months - the XX, Beach House, Dinosaur Jr, Gaslight Anthem)
Speaking of coming out of left field.
Friday - FOALS
Saturday - 2 Chainz
Sunday - James Blake / The Faint
No matter what you're into, Phoenix v. Sigur Ros v. New Order v. Knife Party had to cause a groan when looking through the set times tonight.
Where will you be at 11:30 pm on Saturday night?
