  1. Re: Here's a wacky thought for a Sahara headliner...

But even without live shows, Daft Punk were much, much more popular and well-known than Front 242 was even during their long-ago heyday.

Tiesto and PVD routinely play to tens of thousands of...

But, more seriously, to the original poster: Don't cheat yourself out of the full Coachella experience. No single band is worth that. Wander around. See some other bands. Dance in the tent....

Re: I'm not going to Coachella because

I am seriously considering not going because tickets for Coachella are now at the same price level as tickets for Burning Man, and that's absurd. Coachella's great and all, but not that great.

Re: What surprise additions are you hoping for?

Tom Waits is on the same list for me as Portishead and Boards of Canada: the people I want to see on the lineup every year, who are rumored every year, and who never come. I have faith that some of...

    Re: If Gwen Stefani performs...

I'm really not into Gwen Stefani, but I really don't see how she has any less credibility than RHCP or RATM, if you're terribly concerned about that thing. It's all neatly-packaged mainstream pop...

    Re: The Sahara Tent 2007

No, see, this is the part that I object to. Trance as a whole is really stale and dated, and we need to break the stranglehold it has on the Sahara tent (and on the southern California electronic...

    Re: The Sahara Tent 2007

    Poll: Re: Rage haters?

The Police, Cocteaus, or Pumpkins would all be pretty good, but I have zero interest in seeing a Sugarcubes reunion. Bjork's solo work totally pwns Sugarcubes. They aren't even in the same league.

Re: Which night appeals to you most?

Friday has the strongest headlining acts (Bjork, JAMC, Interpol, Jarvis Cocker, DJ Shadow), but I think Sunday has the best roster lower on the card. Saturday looks to be the weakest to me.

Spank Rock is probably the "new" act I'm most excited about seeing. JAMC is probably the "classic" act I'm most excited about seeing.
