"So somebody must be a tea party member"
Funny how you generalize while criticizing someone else for doing the same thing.
When Tiesto played a while back (2007 I think), I could hear him from inside my rental house about 1.25 miles away.
I can't believe I actually read this entire thread. Pavement is not for everyone. Well said ventura...but to shit on Pavement (especially when you know nothing about them and you only catch a few...
I'd be willing to bet my entire net worth that Band of Horses will never be a headliner at any major music festival...EVER. Seriously. By what measurement would you actually think this is possible?...
Evil Urges is one of the most disappointing albums I've ever heard. Oh the terribleness.
Worst headliners I've ever seen for a major festival. Stevie Wonder, Dave Matthews, Kings of Leon and Jay-Z? This lineup is BRUTAL.
The tickets will clear at the market price, so I wouldn't worry much about scalping. If all tickets were sold via auction, the secondary market and scalping would be pretty irrelevant.
Yeah, their set in 2008 was the biggest festival buzzkill ever. You had Modeselektor, SMD and Justice. And thrown in the middle is...Chromeo??? Ugh. I'm still mad about having to sit through that...
Worst live band I've seen in the past few years (other than Chromeo).
Greetings. I've spent my entire life east of the Mississippi, and was most recently in Manhattan for a while. But I have now made my way west to the LA area and am wondering if there are any good...

Believe what you will. BV is a very reputable source.
There are plenty of websites on this topic. We landed on the damn moon. Don't invite the crazies to come on here and spout their nonsense.
It's a little different when you have 11 days to find a new headliner.
My guess is Kings of Leon for APW. They are in NYC that day for The Today Show.
Anyone know what the deal is with openers for the last two shows? I'm flying out for the final show at the Echoplex.
You've got to be joking.
Didn't Muse already headline a night at ACL (think they were a replacement, but regardless...)?
All these guys do is let you down with their live performances. Adjust your expectations accordingly and do not expect them to "destroy".
The new album is overproduced big time. But it will probably translate better live when it is more raw. It will probably grow on me over time, but it's certainly not a knockout.
Saw these guys a couple years ago. They were fantastic, but I certainly don't see them being added at this point. They would absolutely require a nighttime spot though. I don't think their...
While I enjoy Band of Horses quite a bit, using the word "kill" to describe their live set is pretty silly. This band, by nature, does not "kill it". But seeing them at sunset on the outdoor stage...
Thought I'd weigh in on this for those that have never been. I can't imagine why anyone would want to camp off site. The campground is fantastic. I went in 2006 and had a nice view of the venue in...
I saw them at Sasquatch in '06. And wow. What a BORING set.
AWK is the single best performer I have ever seen live. There is no contest. Although, I do prefer him with a full band backing him which he has not done in a while. However, after a show here in...
What a shit storm for the die hards. Oh well. Guess I'll check back tomorrow.
I am also checking with my source that will be able to confirm or deny this one. Normally I don't like to bother people about this shit, but for Daft Punk I will make an exception.
I take it none of you saw them at Coachella last year. Zzzzzzzzzz....
Interesting thread. Some people have proven themselves to be morons (yet again). Forget about the timing of the lineup announcement (which I'm sure will be announced as soon as it is ready at this...
I'd be willing to bet that him wearing sunglasses all the time is actually the culprit for his eye sensitivity now and not vice versa.
I am very neutral on U2. War was fantastic. Joshua Tree is...
I have a bad feeling that Yeasayer will be there. Hopefully they do Bonnaroo instead...much better fit.
The Djali Zwan. Have not thought about that one for a while. I was also one of the few that saw that incarnation.
And The Raconteurs are so boring.
Yup. Staying in the same place as last year.
You stand corrected. Cheers.
Ok. So are you just an idiot? Because she did not post any headliners.
In regards to your headliners comment, you might want to look at Monklish's latest post again and actually read it this time.
Really? Thought he has given better ones in the past.
The whole layaway idea is going to be practically worthless if they don't get the lineup out soon and tickets on sale.
Proving you guys are just as nerdy as you sound on these message boards.
Love the inclusion of Dethklok. I would love to see them there...but would settle for Mastodon. Coachella could use one or two good metal bands though to spice things up.
Pavement and The Breeders are not even comparable. Pavement would be billed MUCH higher than the Breeders.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...the release of the Coachella lineup and Obama's inauguration have no correlation whatsoever, are covered by completely different media outlets, and are not...
This is a silly comment. Talk about two things that are completely uncorrelated. Believe it or not, the Coachella announcement does not fall into the category of major world news to 99.9% of...
Jesus you are an idiot. Did you not read in my post that the Marlins put out players that no one recognizes BUT YET they still turn a heavy profit? That was the point...and you obviously missed it...
No no no...I think you may have misunderstood my point with the Marlins. The Marlins entire payroll is $15-$20 million. But they make a lot more profit than others that take the risk of signing big...
They get cheaper every day. Talk about another irrelevant band that should have called it quits a while ago.
Smashing Pumpkins at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit on 4/10/99. Original lineup. First show with Jimmy Chamberlain back in the band. Unbelievable setlist (I Am One, Geek USA, Soma, Muzzle, Dross). ...
You should study the operating model of the Florida Marlins baseball team.
I completely believe that Coachella is looking to lower the risk this year. It is the only prudent thing to do in this...
This would be very high on my wishlist of potential reunions.
That thing was hilarious. You could smell all the smoke well outside of the maze. I guess no cops felt like going thru the maze to bust up the party though.
