Was it anything like 2011?
I'll preface this with the fact that I wasn't there this year, as I sold my ticket a few weeks before. I regretted it as the festival was approaching, but after reading so much about the scene at...
Caight their webcast, man did their set look fun.
I wasn't there but I did watch the set through the webcast from beginning and just kept watching to see how it would end.
It was fucking terrible. I don't know what or who to blame. Clearly Andre...
Yeah, I know and I will be there, but would've been rad to see her do her thing on a separate day.
Agree with the smart/dumb choices, five missed:
The Tallest Man on Earth
Tropic of Cancer
They're moving it to North Park. Owners are splitting up.
Gold Panda w/ Luke Abbott at the Casbah 9/19
Also, Disclosure playing HOB 10/16
ZAVALAZ, Cedric's (Mars Volta) new band, playing the Casbah 6/30
not a wise decision, may the polo fields show you mercy
After purchasing my tickets, logged out and went right back in for a friend. Got in to the purchase page immediately and placed the other order in one minute. IE is killing it, chrome is still on the...
Got em. Went through IE.
I like this part
If you've never done pre-sale, you should log into frontgate right now to secure your place in line.
Can't get shakier than Rodriguez.
I'd like to see him in the Gobi, same time Rodriguez went on. Fuck you.
I don't think the presale hysteria carrys over to January. Most people, aside from those who were able to get into the presale, forget about it until the line up comes out. Also, this is all...
Let it go man. Let it go.
I want to bring this back up just because I had such a terrible time 2012 and learned this very important lesson. Now its down to just three of us and it works out perfectly. Big groups are terrible.
No one cares about 420 or Easter.
They save tickets to sell in January to gain new attendees, which are also the people that get sold on the shuttle pass combo when GA sells out.
I think I lost more weight from the post-coachella influenza
I'd be happy with this.
We dumped our shake over some fries. Psychedelic fries, mmmm
Is this the dude from the "Coachella Gimmicks" thread? He actually did it.
I feel your pain. My Cherokee's timing chain broke near Banning wknd 1. Got towed, rented a car and managed to get to Coachella before noon. Getting it home to LA was another brutal mission.
I rather see a Chris Penn hologram
Most of the bands (M83, Florence, AM, M&S, Arcade Fire, The National etc...) already headlined or played Coachella 2011 and 2012. Don't need to see them again so soon.
I'm loving this thread. Sticky vote.
They'd be a great band for the campground while I sleep
I was in line Sunday night ready to go in and meet up for Wu Tang. There was nobody behind me and about two people in front of me getting searched. The security was ripping their shit apart, looking...
That is not an option for any corporation. If anything, they're going to expand to accommodate even more people.
Watermelon provides actual sustenance. Unlike crab fries, monster fries or whatever other fried crap you'll eat.
I'd vote for A. That VIP rose garden space is not being utilized to its full potential.
The best deal is that huge slice of watermelon.
Same here. Bought the Parklife LP at Zia after their show and been listening to their entire catalog since.
We brought a small stove, iron skillet and our own food this year. It was amazing. Only thing I bought all weekend was one slice of spicy pie late Thursday night in a fit of drunken hunger. That was...
I was right at the front weekend one. They left the outdoor in shambles. One of the funnest sets I've ever experienced at Coachella. Everything sucks; best song to open to.
Weekend two savages
Goddamnit. This makes Fall Out Boy in 2014 that much more likely. I hope I'm wrong.
I think Coachella, as a festival, will run the course of the product cycle theory in the mainstream. But, like micro mentioned, GV could manipulate the course with line ups that appeal to true music...
I don't know what's worse, the guy drunk guy constantly bumping into you or the dreaded dancing BO guy constantly bumping into you.
Left LA at 6 am to get to the campground at 9:30. Car we were driving blew up right before Banning around 7:30. After calling AAA, getting towed, renting a car and loading up said rental, we were...
Yeah, that's the thing, I didn't know any of their songs other than I Wanna Be Adored. Though, I can say I was in the same situation with Blur and they completely won me over. I haven't stopped...
