wow, What So Not is playing?? nice bro!!!
there was one near the lockers, though it was kinda easy to miss. bummed that it was only vinyl though
At least for weekend 2, CHVRCHES had an enormous crowd. I knew it was gonna be big but it got hard to get by in a few spots. Flume and RL Grime were both ridiculously packed too.
*Girls get on one of the transport wagons in the parking lot that's playing music*
"Like, do you have any Disclosure or Lana Del Ray you could put on?"
Granted I only saw the webcast but yeah, Superchunk's crowd looked really sparse.
Gonna be prerecorded for Sunday it looks like
"Coachella !! I'm performing at #heinekenhouse tonight w/ @gaslampkiller 820-9pm! @heineken @coachella. Surprise set!"
yeah going w2 for the first time as well. the thought of doing that bugged me years back but not so much anymore
yeah some artists are pre-recordings. they've done that in previous coachella casts as well
woodkid vs bonobo is a bummer
other than that not a lot of stuff that personally bothers me
Unlocking the Truth seems to be playing Main at 1 pm
i'd like Mogwai on Outdoor sunset but those chances might be low
CHVRCHES vs Netsky
honestly though i'm a big sucker for hardstyle but can't really get into headhunterz
For the future GV, let's keep Hardstyle to a maximum
(m1dy 2015 pls)
Maybe at some midpoint time to squeeze on Outdoor? They were on Main when they last played (2010)
lookin forward to these guys
dfh is single handedly saving this thread btw
pretty much, after seeing seven years of "WORST YEAR EVER FUCK COACHELLA" it's hard to take complaints too seriously anymore
very cool! thanks a lot
i'm stoked. i think this is their first us show in a looong time too, i don't know exactly when they last played here but from what i can tell it's probably been a decade or two
this is one of the most batshit insane adds ever and i totally love it
i did terrible but i'm the only one who guessed J Roddy so i'm okay with that
i'd like to see Katatonia or Saint Vitus happen.
is there also a thread somewhere for audio sets?
the entire Ghost crowd would've been this in a perfect world
bands with sound issues aside, yeah I was not feeling Kill The Noise
sat: 2 Chainz/Grizzly Bear
Ghost on early main is incredibly nonsensical to me.
prydz vs DCD hurts
other than that nothing too bad for me actually
holy shit at Ghost BC on main stage
that's gonna be awkward
another one bites the dust
i seriously keep forgetting that RHCP is playing
i'm guessing wed. morning too
hudson of TNGHT says on Twitter they're playing 8:15 - 9
yeah i'm not buying the idea of TPS on the outdoor at all
haha I remember that (04 i think?)
paul tollett places sigur ros in do lab at 3:30
I wouldn't be surprised at DCD head/sub-heading a tent.
Man I haven't even listened to James McCartney and I know it's not gonna be good. I'm not sitting through another Thenewno2 again.
Saturday: Postal Service/Puscifier/Violent Femmes/The Evens/New Order/Dropkick Murphys
Sunday: Eric Prydz/Nick Cave/Dead Can Dance/Rodriguez/The Faint
Yeah, if J5 doesn't play Outdoor I'd say evening Main as next best bet.
Maybe, I do think a Gobi/Mojave set is more likely though, possibly sunset?? Or at least midday.
My best guess for TSPO is earlier on Outdoor, but yeah that band is super-flexible anywhere on the map.
Descendents live is really rare in general, don't know the next time they'll play again after this year, if they do at all
