Wind of Change is my guilty pleasure. Carry on..
Drums. Chanting. Drums... A dance circle begins. Hoping for this!
Saw them at FYF over last summer, sunset...it was magical. J killed it!
I never thought I would get to see them! Huge fan and yes looking forward for a respectful, quiet, in awe crowd!!!!
I don't get the headliners either but whatever
I am so exciiiiited! Dead Can Dance, Sigur Ros, Lou Reed, New Order!!!!!
Hoping to see the following carry over here (besides the ones already discussed): Dead Can Dance, Swans, and Dexy's. I wish it would just come out so I can stop obsessing!!!!!
I wish this could come true! Reminiscing about my Seattle grunge days...sigh
Agreed... I've seen them enough. Love them but they just did the whole Dark Side tour last year. I don't see them headlining but I know nothing about this.
So The Flaming Lips performing "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots?" They just did that musical in La Jolla so maybe they're using the same props? I love the Lips but as a headliner? Maybe I'm...
See you don't even keep track of what you say. Just like there is no reasoning with a sack of bricks there is no sense going on responding to your idiotic rebuttals. Your signature describes you...
I love this and I hope we are surprised.
I think it's funny that you have to change your argument to try and refute what we've been saying here. You were arguing that old acts don't belong at Coachella. Nobody was talking about...
I disagree on so many levels. Sure there are young kids wandering aimlessly but who cares?? Some of the most best concerts I've seen were "older" acts... Prince, Roger Waters, Paul Weller. That's...
This is what I miss too! I feel like the art installations used to be so much more interactive. Remember the gnome tent, where you would wave your hand in front of the little gnomes and they would...
Yes saw them at Coachella in 2007 as well but only caught half the set. I am really looking forward to this! I'll have to check out their new stuff.
...and I wanted so badly for this to be true
I wish I had a pizza and a bottle of wine
Love the build up...
I would give them another chance. Saw them recently at FYF Fest and was blown away. They've really gotten better in the last couple of years. Check out their new album or at least walk by and give...
Nice find! Couldn't you just imagine the Sahara all grooving along in harmony?! Maybe they'll have the rollerskating rink again this year. Seriously had a blast dancing to disco there at 2am...sigh
I would bring at least two options, if not three. I usually rotate shoes from one day to the next and my feet thank me. Also I always wear tennis shoes (Reeboks, Asics...) because I need to dance. ...
Agreed... I think it's one of Coachella's hidden treasures
People are going to go ape shit! Guuuhhh can't wait!!!!!!!!!!
Please tell me that I'm not the only one freaking out about this!
Yes, their live stuff is amazing. I was just burning my friend that very cd earlier this evening.
I'm pretty excited to see this as well!!
Or even Pnau would be awesome!!
i don't think that they would do that either... hopefully
super excited about the new album! i've seen them twice and thought they were great both times. can't wait to see them again.
yes yes yes!!! this was one of the main bands that i hoped would be playing this year. i have tried to see them in years passed but have never made it out. i am in love with midnight boom and...
So happy about the line up and will be there all three days!!! I can hardly contain my excitement!
lol. well stated... aww color me badd. i think i had that cassette, hah.
i didn't know that they are playing in april. thank you for letting us know!
i'm excited for this as well and have always wanted to see his spoken word shows. his show on ifc is hilarious and usually right on with his opinion.
i agree, her voice is amazing and i could care less what she does. however, it's a bummer when the singer can hardly get through the song or has to cut it short.
that would be great if he did. i saw the rest of the members of the jam play last year and had chills the whole time. they played every song i wanted to hear. back to paul... he is one of my...
they just headlined... as much as i love them, i just don't think that this will happen.
i agree... they are much better live!
tried to see them over the summer at the san diego street scene. i was running to the stage and only caught two songs. though, i've seen them a few times before, it was such a bummer missing there...
i see your point but i don't really see how it applies here. like i said, i'm quite excited about the line up and the negativity towards it seems like a waste of energy. that's all.
haven't seen them since wild mood swings.... so excited!!!
why do we have to compare?? the line up was sooo much better back in ___. i think that this year will be amazing.... paul weller, the kills, crystal castles, the cure, hercules and love affair,...
seriously... enough with the bitching! you don't have to go and there will be room at the stages for the people who are there to enjoy it.
thank you for this thread! i'm sick of all the negative energy. i'm elated about the line up and agree that every year i've attended, it's been amazing!
anyone seen them recently? i haven't see them since wild mood swings.
