Just curious what it's like?
This would be fun but I'd almost rather have Goldenvoice book ELO at The Hollywood Bowl instead that way we get a longer set.
Coachella recycles a lot of bands every few years. But who out there that is currently together should play that has never played? Any headliners?
This is going to be a fucking nightmare. Grand Park is too cramped to have a festival like this.
That's a shame, I thought last year's fest went incredibly smooth. Hopefully they'll be back at Historic State Park next year.
The new album is really good. The Pixies parody is awesome.
It seems like Coachella throws at least one or two warped tour bands in a year. I'd love to see The Offspring perform the entirety of Smash.
Woah. He sounds great!
Would love to see them get a slot!
Best: Arcade Fire and Beck. Full of fans pumped to see the artists they love.
Worst: Lana Del Rey for all the reasons that everyone has already mentioned.
1. Arcade Fire
2. Future Islands
5. Queens of the Stone Age.
Excited to see him next week. Does he play any of his classics?
I would love to dance to Silent Shout at Coachella. But if Karin and Olof aren't actually there, doesn't make sense to me.
From everything I've read the Shaking The Habitual Tour has been very unconventional. Is the duo actually there to perform? Or is it just that dance troupe dancing along to a CD?
This is my 4th FYF and it was by far the most enjoyable one. Didn't seem overcrowded and if you had a bandana the dust wasn't too bad.
Top five of the weekend
1) Death Grips
2) TV On The Radio...
Did Comedy, Crystal Antlers, Eleanor Friedberger, Mikal Cronin, Ty Segall, The Breeders, Deerhunter, TV On The Radio, Flag, and Death Grips.
Death Grips and TVOTR were definitely the highlights....
Love love love these guys, Some Loud Thunder is one of my favorite albums.
Would love to see a Besnard Lakes afternoon set at Coachella next year!
Outdoor Stage headliner?
Get Nile Rodgers at Coachella!
Would love to see them reunite for Coachella in 2014.
Give the bicycle rickshaws their own lane. Can't tell you how many times I almost was run over by one of them.
1. Grinderman (one of the best shows I have ever seen)
2. Modest Mouse (tremendous setlist)
3. Sigur Ros
4. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
5. The xx
HM: Hot Chip.
I'm assuming she's working on a new record now that her voice is better. Headliner?
As long as she plays this
Fugazi vs. Neutral Milk Hotel
I had a ticket for the Hollywood show all set to go and just as I clicked purchase the damn thing logged me out and I lost the ticket. Now it's sold out, I hate to say this but I'd rather deal with...
This waiting room is racking my nerves
No, they headlined Sasquatch. If The Killers can headline Coachella why can't Modest Mouse? They certainly have the songs to do it.
I could see them headlining actually.
Loved Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, wish they had a longer set. Talked to Alec after the show he said they would be back soon. Here's hoping!
There were like 60 people at Lindstrom last night, most of which were playing PS3. Is this really that popular of an event?
double the food vendors? So that means they'll have four?
How To Dress Well
Coachella usually has one or two country-tinged artists. Would love to see Callahan be one of those next year.
If we can't get Waits, these guys would be my next pick. They might be everybody's cup of tea, but I think they're fucking brilliant.
Yeah, but I don't know if you've ever been to The Orpheum in Phoenix but that place looks like it was built for a Waits show.
Bold move, but that's going to be a scheduling nightmare trying to get the majority of those bands to stick around for two weekends.
Let's make this happen Coachella!!!
These guys haven't done anything for a while, I would love to see them make a return next year at Coachella
