Not to the extent of questioning Phoenix. Believe me i get the headliners are subpar, but Phoenix will still put on a great and memorable show. You are seeing them headline their first major...
I haven't been all over the boards lately, but no one questioned the Black Keys headlining last year. Phoenix is going to kill it.
I think the sample of his live shows people talk about are small. Seen him twice, both times he was quite the performer. The first time I saw him I was also in the Loge of the Nokia center in LA....
Savages, on Saturday.
Don't know much about them, but just listened to a song by them on the playlist. Pretty cool actually
Edit: Nevermind, I thought they were post-rock but only their song...
I'm interested. Shoot me a PM
They would be a bigger act than an outdoor opener I think. A fourth liner I'd say. I'd see an afternoon set.
When waiting for Radiohead on the main stage for six hours, I sat down between sets. Hope that is alright
This is a joke, but I was reading the Rolling Stones Magazine the other day with an article about coachella re-cap. The last quote was from David Guetta, something along the lines of:
"I think in...
Front row for:
Friday: Wolf Gang, Pulp, Black Keys, Swedish House Mafia.... close to front for Kendrick Lamar, Grouplove...
Saturday: Front for: Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, the shins,...
@ OP
You used to be alright... what happened?
Sincerely,
weekend 2 front center rail attendee who had the time of his life at this set
1. Radiohead (was on the rail front and center, literally moment of my life)
2. Dre and Snoop (despite being farther back than normal for the weekend)
[insert drop off]
3. Grouplove
4. Calvin...
I will join you
how many people were there more for the reason to get a spot for radiohead?
Still wondering if i should skip miike snow and just camp there
This thread could be very informative, hopefully more writeups happen... not just for friday but saturday and sunday too!
Based from just watching the streams, I was very disappointed with Jimmy Cliff. He was a highly anticipated set for me, however, the crowd just seemed to never connect with him.
Looking for some...
why? and is radiohead the experimental one?
These are my sets for each day :
Friday... Wolf Gang > Kendrick Lamar > Yuck > Gary Clark Jr (or Neon Indian, still deciding) > Grouplov(or Jimmy Cliff) > GIRLS > Madeon > Pulp > Black Keys >...
Radiohead/anyone else
Neon Indian/Gary Clark Jr. (love neon indian, but have been interested since the beginning in seeing Gary Clark Jr live)
Black Keys/Explosions in the Sky (would include m83,...
Miike Snow and Radiohead are my top two probably and I was wondering this as well...
See both, or get a reallly good spot for radiohead?
Friday --> Wolf Gang or Sheepdogs
Saturday --> Keep shelly in Athens, We were promised jetpacks, We are Augustines
Sunday --> Gardens & Villas
strong undercard for me
I'm not sure if this is an accurate map, but the iPhone coachella app by Goldenvoice has a map of the festival, and you can press find me, its pretty conveniant.
the thing is that just hit me... if you are shorter than the average height of the crowd.. then this set will be significantly less awesome for you....

I haven't listened to this band for long, just since December, but i really really like their music. However, I am kinda iffy on how it will translate live. Reading this thread gave me mixed...
1. Pulp - Common People

I... I just don't know what to say...
...It's... absolutely...
awful
As of now, the line-up is excellent... a significant add right now will raise the scalper prices, thus completely screwing over any hopeful coachella go-ers that were already boned by Golden Voices...
1) Gary Clark Jr.
2) Kendrick Lamar
3) Wolf Gang
4) Childish Gambino
5) Grouplove
Notable others: GIVERS, Feed Me, WU LYF, Gardens & Villa, Band of Skulls, Dawes, Goyte
Sorry I am just...
Well Jimmy Cliff sings "I can see clearly now the rain is gone."
So clearly means day, because who can see true clarity at night...
and also he can only go on after the rain is gone
So jimmy...
quite unnecessary
Yeah I'm very eager for the set times to come out... but thatll be in a long time..
based on past coachellas, do you think it'll conflict or that I could possibly catch some of them back to back...
For Friday, I was extremely excited to see:
Kendrick Lamar --> Wolf Gang --> Givers --> Wu Lyf --> Feed Me..
However, be that they are bottom bands, are they going to play shorter sets (20-40...
