I was grooven to their sound from inside the beer tent and was able to get a dance off going. Great sounds! I hope to catch them at a club some time.
The show was a knockout for me! Forever, now, I will surely try and catch their show again whenever I can.
All I read is a bunch of Love/Hate: some people like him and some don't. Personally, I think Girl Talk loves music and he likes to mix it up, so I'm sure that all the people who like him love to...
I was there mainly for Rage, so I had to get as close as I could get. I decided to get to the stage early, so I took in Manu Chao's set and I am glad I did: He Rawked! Because of that I was pretty...
This was my 4th coachella and due to the tiks selling so fast only my girlfriend and I were able to go, but because everyone was so friendly in the campgrounds we found many many new friends. I will...
In regards to the comments: wow! i'm glad I didn't catch that set.
This weekend there were great sets and not so great sets...
the Top 5: NOT-SO-GOOD:
1. Air- I was really excited about this act, because I thought they rocked in 04', but this year they were late...
The whole thing a blur now, but slowly as the days go on I will regain consciousness: From what I remember:
1. RAGE: as someone said earlier, there wasn't this might hype and nervousness since...
Also, there is still a time slot open for Friday at the Gobi tent. Is there a possibility there could be another addition for that time slot?
Yeah, it will be hot, but nothing will beat the rugged 04' year, which sucked because that line-up was fantastic. This year, even though it will touch 100 degrees we should be able to still enjoy...
At any one of these stages, you could spend all ady and be satisfied. I'm stoked! I can't wait.
I am sympathetic to you all, but we all know this happens every year: so fuck it, I'm going to bitch too:
Interpol v.s Brazilian Girls v.s. Sonic Youth
Kings of Leon v.s Decemberists
Travis v.s....
Not to get off the River's subject, but I like Bjork and I think once the lights indicate that her set is about to start, I think the crowd is going to go bizzerk- including myself.
I voted for Rage, because their music has a deeper, more spiritual impact on me, but if I counted out that feeling and judged based on longevity and catchier songs that I sing to at parties... then I...
Do what your heart tells you to do.
SLOW HAND
Arcade Fire: Rage: and the Brazilian Girls- I cannot wait to daydream and look into Sabina's masked face.
Its all about the LIVE show. That is what the hype was all about for Coachella 05- when they played, they blew everyone who was in audience---AWAY.
Morrissey's tour was announced weeks ago and he is already scheduled for shows on all of Coachella's dates. Sorry to burst anybody's bubbles, but I don't think he'll be there.
Oh come on, this is too hard.
Oh alright... Rage Against the Machine. It will be a concert to be remembered.
Awesome! His album "the audience is listening" is fucking brilliant.
I usually get the party started as soon as I set my tent up, then on the last night I try and take it easy. Thats the way I do it.
I think willie knows what he's up against, so I think he's probably cool with playing early in the day, which would be a perfect setting (4pm, a few beers, and singing on-the-road-again):)
Although,...
I always opt to wear a fannypack, its way more convenient then a reg back-pack.
DAFT PUNK!!! i gots to be at the red rocks show in colorado, plus the rapture will be opening for them on select dates.
expensive
Arcade Fire "NEON BIBLE" (hands down best)
For me... this an annual tradition that began in 2004.
Personally, I like the longer sets as opposed to cramming as many acts in one day as possible. I'm sure the band feels much more relaxed playing for an hour an half rather then forty-five mins.
I agree, this album will forever be forgotten and at the same time it is a lost gem.
YES!!! their album is great and since I missed them when they came through my town with Calexico, I would surely make time for their set.
I barely catching up with the last part of the 06' year. Sounds like I need to get a move on!
I have Sprint and I text message the whole weekend. That's the way to go! TEXT TEXT TEXT.
I brought walkie-talkies on 04' year and so many people had the same idea that whenever I turned them on, all I could hear is everyone else's messages. I couldn't even use them. It was a poor...
SMASHING PUMPKINS
Modest Mouse... ohhhh yeah. I've seen them once, quite a few years back and they had some instrument tech problems, but they certainly did a good job. Now, I'm interested in hearing their new sound...
$200 spending cash should kepp you alive and happy for the weekend. You might have to sell your body for some drugs, but what-the-hell, thats part of the fun.
Lets all pray collectively that the weather will be like the last two years and not like 04'.
The line-up has been revealed and the Gorge Amph will have some incredible artist rocking the Washington wilderness. BJORK & THE BEASTIES, plus many acts that will playing Coachella a month earlier.
They are awesome live!!! I some them at Coachella 05' and at Sasquatch and they melted my face each time.
I hate to be a pesamist, but doubt they could fit on this already incredible line- up.
I'm...GETTING...EXCITED!!!
I am soooo--- looking forward to this show. I am one of 80,000 lucky fans to get tickets to this festival, so I am going to enjoy the madness of this show.
I am not a RATM fanatic, but I do enjoy...
I always go with a lot of friends. And thats cool, but sometimes I wish I could go by myself, because I know I would meet some new friends and I wouldn't have that binding feeling of not seeing...
Good Idea! way to be adventurist. I've camped the last three years and have had a blast everytime. Plus, Goldenvoice has made the camping area more accomidating every year. For instance, in 04', it...
Doves would be exciting to see. I was so bummed out when they cancelled. Bring on the DOVES!!!!!
The biggest difference, is the size of the festival fields. Coachella is flat and a lot bigger then Sasquatch (Sas. 3 stages) (Coach 5 stages). But Sas lets you bring your whole car to the Camping...
I enjoy all their albums. The singer has an unusual way of spitten logic, so I would check them out if they were added to the list.
Now that Coachella 2007 tickets are "officially" sold out and it is only mid February, I guess it is safe to say that Rage Against the Machine was that big of a draw. I remember in 2004, Radiohead...
Its official. I can't believe it, but it is sold out. I guess Rage Against the Machine was that big of a draw.
