I saw them at Coachella in 2008, main stage if I remember correctly. They were good, I am/was a fan and was happy. Their new stuff isn't quite as good, in my opinion.. but still worth seeing.

I, too, am in love with Kim Deal. All I can really say in response to this thread, and the question it poses is that The Breeders are -definitely- my headliner on Friday.

Now that the obvious is out of the way, has anyone ever thought about what Radiohead must of thought about her saying that? It's not a secret that Radiohead is on the record as saying The Pixies...
They were great. Definitely in my Top 5 of the whole weekend.
I've been really surprised that there hasn't been more threads about their set.

I saw this guy. I was near the KROQ tent and the mist fans and he walked up to the guy in front of me and just stared at him. The guy looked at the polaroid man and he snapped a picture without...
My girl and one of those big 4-post tarp shade covers for my tent.

HALELUJAH!!!!
I was able to go to the campground entrance directly after RAGE, but I could probably tell you why they stopped letting that happen. THEY WERE SWARMED. There was no way they could actually check...
this was a fantastic performance. I loved, and totally didn't expect, the solicitation of audience participation. This is what makes shows memorable.
Thank you, Decemberists!

The Outdoor stage was fucked all 3 days.
Friday, it was Damian Marley. He went on late and played a very short set.
Saturday, it was Ghostface Killer with technical difficulties, throwing off...
I specifically skipped Peaches because I saw them perform live on the Henry Rollins show and it was really, really, bad.
Jesus & Mary Chain was a good choice :)

I was wondering about the same thing with the missing pump.. but now I've got one, so it's all good. If you can find me, I'll letcha use my pump. I'm sure anyone else would oblige as well.
word. I'll get $80 from my co-worker if the Suns sweep them. -$20 for every game that the Lakers win.
I'm going to be setting my DVR to record all that shit while I'm gone and will try to resist...

The only Satuday bands I'll die if I don't see are Nightwatchman, Ghostface, Blonde Redhead, Decemberists and RHCP. It's probably the day I'll have the least conflicts.

I had never listened to them before I saw them live at Detour Fest this year. They were pretty damned impressive, definitely worth seeing. They had this cute chic who, I swear to God, could beatbox...
Indie is NOT owned by ClearChannel. I can't believe how many people spout this bullshit without doing the research.
Research it, then correct yourself (hint: wikipedia.com).

This makes me want to throw a fucking party!! Audioslave was an abomination!

A local LA radio station says that they have a bunch of Coachella tickets and will be giving them away at some point in the future. If you're not local to LA, you can listen to them via iTunes. ...
What version of Firefox? 2.0.0.1 works fine for me, but like the docta said, it does take a bit to get up.

check out the latest post over at http://www.thealternakids.com. They've posted over 5hrs of downloadable music from most of the acts from this years lineup.

they're great, but your Pixies comment is ludicrous.
hysterical!

Chicane would be a really great addition... I'd think he could headline Sahara on any day.

They've been mentioned before, but I think that Gogol, EITS, and Lily Allen will be surprising people. Even if you don't dig on Gogol's recorded material, (I didn't particularly), their live show is...
Crowded House played last night at the 'Beat it, Wally!' benefit in Glendale. They were a surprise guest and their set was definitely a crowd pleaser...

man, that would be a dream come true. Thanks for the heads up about the new stuff.
I might be chastised for this, but I slept through the first part of Radiohead's set on one of the couches in the Heineken tent (2004). Woke up and went and watched Electric Six, (I'm not a...
I saw them open for Primus, too. They're definitely fun.

I saw them at that show and the timing and the music was beautiful, something I will never forget. But they were not the best show, Pixies will always have that title.

These guys are awesome. They play all the time here in LA on Indie 103.1. Can't wait to see them live.

I saw Peeping Tom at Detour Festival this year and they ruled. Don't miss them, even if you're notta Patton fan.
