Godspeed into MBV avec new material would be one hell of an incredible sensory overload. Maybe the two best live acts playing right now. I'd kill to be there.

No it doesn't. I recall at least a couple times that the messageboards suddenly switched over with the line-up being released shortly thereafter. Fact.
so any artist confirmations yet?
Pretty much. I didn't see the first weekend but the weekend 2 performance was pretty incredible - voice, band, and set progression all seemed bang on and the crowd was loving it.
1. Explosions in the Sky
2. Yuck
3. Godspeed You! Black Emperor
4. Jeff Mangum
5. Radiohead
something something better off dead
If there were an icon for clapping, this would be that.
How could they not play Bells Ring? They better play Bells Ring.
I've brought in about 5 cases the past few times and there were only 2 of us in the car. It's mostly a matter of discretion--as long as you're not a complete idiot about it, you'll be fine.
I got the same email from Waste. Sort of wondering how this is going to work out...
I emailed WASTE a little while back asking the following: "Hello - will you be refunding the shipping costs or...
I haven't seen em since 2007 - I think I saw them three times that year, including at Coachella (I think it was around 2 in afternoon but wonderful nevertheless). I'm incredibly excited and wouldn't...
Honestly you're asking the wrong person - I don't know the scene well enough. But just based on his slot in '10 in combination with where he's being billed, I just think that closing the Sahara may...
Godspeed, Mangum, Mazzy Star, EitS, Amon Tobin, Pulp, Radiohead. This Coachella fits my taste better than any since I started going in 2007
Seems reasonable.
Guetta
Edit: if Tiesto could do it in '07, Guetta could this year. Goldenvoice loves to close Saturday with the cheese.
I can't see Godspeed conflicting with Radiohead - I'm thinking Radiohead plays from about 9:30-11:30 and Godspeed closes the Gobi beginning at 11:45 - but if they do clash, seeing Godspeed is a...
Don't be. If anything his voice sounds better. Though who knows how the instrumentation will be done this time around (the arrangements in Toronto sounded great to me).
Well that was part of it.
But just for instance, when they were testing their In Rainbows material, their sets looked like this...
Purposefully alienating casual (or even old) fans by refusing to play any songs that many wanted to hear...
Bummer about deerhunter being there. I was hoping for the dear hunter myself. one shot and all that

Utterly shameless Beirut ripoff. That's pretty embarrassing.
Radiohead were my favorite band once upon a time and I've had a great experience at their shows in the past but Thom has gotten pretty damn indulgent in his old age (see: Glastonbury last year). ...
What a clusterfuck. Radiohead site is the only reason I got tickets, and I was on there at 10.
There's no question they should go through ticketmaster, or else via some glastonbury-type system.
Ah, I didn't realize that. A 35 minute album would be a bit of a letdown after the long wait. Wait and see I guess.
8 tracks on two vinyls may mean we're in for some long tunes. Which would be pretty awesome.
Looks like it's an 8-track album. Interesting. http://thekingoflimbs.jp/sites/en/
1. Hard to Explain
2. Automatic Stop
3. The Modern Age
I wasn't a fan of their last album outside You Only Live Once. But I have a good feeling about the new one. They seem to be the right...
Go fuck yourself. I wasn't comparing the two. I was wondering whether they'll be given a Tiesto-type slot. On the main stage. Idiot.
Well sure but I've seen em before. They're definitely a nice surprise but in my mind they don't have the pull of the bands I mentioned. And apart from DFA, too many of the bands on the first two...
Godspeed, mainly
I dunno, this year's line-up seems to lack the "wow"-factor. It need a MBV, Atoms for Peace, Portishead, the Knife-type band(s).
Yeah she's really not that great in a festival setting, or at least wasn't that great at Bonnaroo a few years back. But have fun I guess.
Friday is pretty bad, now that I look closely. Flogging Molly, Cold War Kids, Brandon Flowers, Kings of Leon. Heeee haw.
It would look a whole lot better if Massive Attack was headlining
Arcade Fire will will be fantastic and It'll be nice to see the Strokes play their new material.
So does Chemical Bros play the main stage after KOL? Headline the Sahara? I think I'm hoping for...
Oh fuck ya.
I just thought I'd drop in to echo the sentiments of those who are a little confused by comments accusing Beach House of being a dull live band.
A lot of hipsters these days seem to think that the...

I see Beach House becoming pretty high-profile after Sub Pop releases their new album. What a damn good album it is.
Do leaked albums count? If they do, then I have to go with Beach House's Walk in the Park. It's my favourite tune of the year by a fair margin.

troll
That's pretty fucked. I'm heading across the US this summer and I'm only stopping over in salt lake city for two nights. Aaaand one of those nights is the 19th. Good shit.
For anyone who hasn't seen them live before, they're a hell of a lot of fun and well worth checking out. Great add.
rain down....
also, when that wonderful dreamy guitar slides in at the beginning of speak to me/breathe the air
Sigur Ros' Untitled 4 (pretty well the whole thing)
the intro to Sound and...
Okay I just bought my ticket and I'm going alone and I don't have time to read all this shit.
Is anyone else going alone? And does anyone have any idea when they announce the rest of the line-up?
yeah this messageboard is starting to really fucking suck.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OW3_j6SoHXM
That would be Cohen's best song. I hope to fuck he plays it.
But anything off Songs of Love and Hate will do just fine.
MBV
1. Come In Alone
2. Strawberry Wine
3. Nothing Much to Lose
4. I Only Said
5. Only Shallow
6. Feed Me With Your Kiss
7. (When You Wake) You're Still In A Dream
8. What You Want
Yeah. The Killers then the Cure is a really fucking lame way to close out Saturday and Sunday. Is anyone really excited to see the Cure headline (another) festival?
Underworld
Broken Social Scene
Modest Mouse
Neil Young
Chemical Bros
Tom Waits
Animal Collective
Some of those would be nice. Otherwise, I really can't justify the 400 bucks + flight to...
Yeah it's pretty clearly the weakest coachella day in the festival's history, I gotta say.
