Saw them at ATP UK a couple of years back. They were brilliant
Ignoring the rest which is complete bull, I thought this would be the case with the xx but they actually work surprisingly well on an outdoor stage
Dave Matthews wouldn't even get a gig at a major festival over here. As a push he could probably play a very early slot at Glastonbury but not many would go and watch
They very much treated the Brit Awards show as a joke. I went to that Parklive gig and they were brilliant there
Hello from England,
I visited Coachella in 2010 and loved it/the people but I think a few questions need to raised about the sanity of some of the people on these boards.
Firstly, Gorillaz got a...
There was a lot of Sub Focus played over the weekend too
I enjoyed Gorillaz but I met loads of REAL LIFE people that didn't and were underwhelmed. I just wish Thom Yorke would have closed. That was a proper closing set
Because I'd never listened to him before?
I only went over early because Delphic were cancelled
Ah cheers, I thought it was pretty good but not mindblowing. The information given to fans at the event wasn't great was it?
I enjoyed whoever it was, just wondering who it was. Talvin or not
So who played instead? I hadn't heard his stuff so just supposed it was him but apparantly not. This was just before Rusko destroyed the Sahara tent
Trying to explain that to people in the campsite afterwards was hilarious
Erol Alkan vs Boys Noize- Waves
Vitalic- La Rock 01
Justice- Phantom Part II
I was very happy with the setlist
But then I'd have missed 2manydjs who also killed it
I thought Muse kicked ass, it's the 4th time I've seen them and all the others have been in Europe where they've been huge since 2004 so it's...
You obviously haven't seen Blur's Glastonbury performance last year then
I thought Gorillaz were great personally, and I'm not a big fan of them. They're nowhere near as big in the UK as they are in...
It's funny you say that
Last year Leeds/Reading had a 4 stage mega clash between Radiohead, Lostprophets (who are fairly massive with the punks and emos over here), Deadmau5 and La Roux (who...
Coming from Sheffield
Cannae wait
Wolfgang's 5th Symphony is mind blowing but overall I'd give it to the mau5
Sneaking in the Franky Turner there. Good lad :winkiss
Of the acts that are playing these albums feature in my top 50 of the decade
Thom Yorke- The Eraser
Frank Turner- Love, Ire And Song...
See, if someone tried to explain to me who some guy in Boston Legal was and they said it was Captain Kirk I'd accept it as the same person because, y'know, he played the character who's name is more...
That's awesome
He played a 2 hour set when I saw him in Dec and it was in the middle
The times I've seen him he's closed with Slip/Ghosts n Whatever and Not Exactly
A band
I (and my friends) pronounce it Mike Snow but I'm fairly sure that's wrong
The singer is the guy who fronted Buckley's band after he died and the other 2 are producers who have written a...
In Search Of is also my favourite. You see them live? In Search Of is like twice as good and they go all trancey at the end. It's epic
Brilliant live. As in one of the best bands I've seen live. Seen them three times since October when they were on the Jools Holland show in the UK. First was infront of about 20 people and then I saw...
I read an interview where they said they went for a heavier sound. I don't think it's heavier than FWN at all. Jeweller's Hands is alright, but it doesn't hold it's own against A Certain Romance or...
The reviews are the same!? Eve Arctic Monkey bumming NME only gave it a 7. The first got a 10 and the second a 9. I think the old lyrics are more suited to British teens in their young 20s. It...
Yes and it's amazing
Doesn't close with it though
They never play Leave Before The Lights now. I saw it though woop. FWN is amazing
Maybe it's an American thing, I don't know a single Brit that likes it
It's their lowest charting single in the UK, not sure if that's why. It's a pity as it's a tune
Excuse me?
I know a fucking lot about music thankyou and listen to bloody tons of the stuff. I listened to it about 10 times all the way through, just because it was them. The lyrics are NOT better...
Quality, quality album. Wasn't interesting 'til I saw them live supporting Simian Mobile Disco/Boys Noize and they were stunning
For the lad who was wondering Chem Bros open with Galvanize
I was at that Werchter set. Was fairly mental seeing them in front of 80000 crazy Belgians. Boys Noize was far better in the tent though...
In the UK they'd headline above the rest on the Friday easily, but obvs it's different over yonder
That's definately the highlight of the album, which says a lot
It's rubbish.
They'd have to be atleast 90% since they're playing about as close as you can the day before!
Finishing in Arizona the day before Coachella. Got to be playing?
Are there normally late announcements?
They've just announced a US tour for April
Because 505 was a beautiful emotion driven song and Humbug is just the record of a guy who discovered drugs and thought he could go psychadelic. It wasn't a bad idea but it was poorly executed. It's...
Not sure, but when I last saw he play majority of new album + I Remember, Not Exactly, Killing in the Name, Harder Better Faster Stronger, Slip, Complications and Sometimes Things Get...
I think it's meant to be like 1% away from being speed and 1% away from being E basically. Not sure on the exacts, but because you get it pure it's guna be a hell of a lot safer than stuff you get...
Well it's not been around long. Been taking it about twice a week since November maybe. Doesn't have the insomnia problem other drugs have and it's in real widespread use in England. I was at a Drum...
Humbug is one of the worst album I heard last year, was so dissapointing. Atleast they play 505 live now though <3
They've gone downhill live so much. Trust me guys, if you want to remember the good times don't try and see them again. New album is atrocious as well
I take it regularly and haven't noticed long term effects. Pretty much killed alcohol off my diet as well and I drank a lot. I wouldn't advise nose entrance either. Bombing is the best
The Temper Trap
Tracks- Science of Fear, Down River, Sweet Disposition
Phoenix
Tracks- Sometimes In The Fall, 1901, Lisztomania
Miike Snow
Tracks- In Search Of, Animal, This Horse Is Not A...
It's sensationalist bollocks designed to try and get it banned haha. It's the most commonly used drug on the club scene over here now and there's still not a confirmed death as a result of it. It'd...
Mephedrone is the new both of them. It hit the US yet?
I get it delivered legally to my house in the UK at £90 for 10 grams ($150)
Cocaine and MDMA are £30-40 a gram to put it into perspective....
I quite enjoy them, they have a poppy edge though which I don't really like tbh. It's odd because the music is too cleverly structured to sound so poppy
