it's going to be this
Boston date is too close for comfort. Still nervous.
Picked up a couple for Brooklyn on Friday. Can't wait.
yeah, I wish you guys all the luck in the world. On the plus side, there are 120,000 tickets going on sale Sunday vs. 15,000 on sale today.
I had a real rollercoaster. Made it to the point of entering CC# etc then hit 'pay' and it errored out. I freaked out but kept trying. Like 20 mins later I get an email confirmation saying the...
Got some GA for Boston. sick.
Have been the past 2 years, was going to skip this year but those nites are tempting.
i'm going, both days.
yeah you could definitely take 1 beer out but now 2, same rules for both of the past 2 years.
it's actually a bit tougher to do it @ FFF than it is at, say, coachella, because the fest ends before 10pm and then there are the nite shows where you're no longer getting free drinks.
it was weird because it wasn't illegal the year before. That said for all intents and purposes 10 beers a day is unlimited beer. They rolled over as well... I could have had 17 beers on Sunday but...
I won a PIP upgrade on the Saturday 2 years ago, and had a great time with it, so I bought the PIP last year and it was way worse. A lot more people seemed to have bought it so all the areas were...
Saw them in Boston a couple of nights ago and they were superb. Was trying to eliminate a conflict by seeing them early but it just made me want to see them in a festival environment that much more....
Phoenix- Stevie Wonder
Pretty Lights-Basement Jaxx
Dropkick Murphys- Ocean Colour Scene
Vampire Weekend-The Knife
scooped a ticket for this. Cheap, local and reasonably solid for what it is. I saw this article that has aerosmith in the title but no other mention. Typo or late announcement? Would rather them than...
good point. Mumford have 4 sold out shows in NY/NJ this month.
My money would be on either Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Postal Service, Mumford and Sons or the Strokes.
final headliner tomorrow
Can I play?
got my tickets! missed out on the early birds but nbd.
'cause going from Chicago to Toronto AND Connecticut to Ottawa both via Southern California is perfectly logical.
your theory is that Fleetwood Mac will travel from Boston to Connecticut via Southern California?
04/18 – Boston, MA @ TD Garden
04/20 – Uncasville, CT @ Mohegan Sun Arena
lol all I was saying is that Beyonce's glasto appearance offers some degree of evidence that the "cliche/choreographed" style of live performance can work in a large festival environment. Again, I...
Neither has Usher.
I think another comparable act would be Beyonce, who successfully headlined Glastonbury. I personally think neither properly fit into the Coachella headliner demographic but both are capable of...
just get an armband.
electric zoo is also on randall's island and they have four stages... one main stage and 3 tents setup like this.
it's basically like Coachella 2011. Would be happy if they got arcade fire to fill that TBA slot.
went to this last year and it was actually really fun. Seems like the upped their budget by a lot this year.
yeah I'm actually pretty deeply pissed off about this. Considering not going at all but I guess the bonus is I'll save $$ on accommodation.
Louis CK drop confirmed then. Shit.
shit, that sucks imo. I liked Asbury, can't imagine anywhere in Manhattan with the same character but hopefully I'll be proven wrong.
just grabbed a pip ticket. Went last year and had a blast, super fun festival.
The Stone Roses sold 150,000 tickets in less than 15 minutes for their first comeback shows. I don't think it's that unreasonable that they'd get the first sub-headline spot. They're certainly bigger...
Absolutely no chance. They'd be billed where Pulp was this year if not higher.
What were we doing before?
Being able to pick any spot you want to see Outkast in the Sahara Vs. Being able to ingest any substance (inc. alcohol and caffeine) all weekend long.
(if you see Outkast you have to be stone-cold...
They had $6 pitchers @ wonder land on Sunday. Being from Boston I don't think I've ever seen a $6 pitcher of anything in my whole life let alone @ a music festival.
Saturday's Portishead was hands-down the single greatest concert experience of my life. Through a combination of waiting from the beginning of Ultramagnetic MC's and a couple of little miracles (one...
This is mine at the moment.
Got 3 day pass. First weekend of each month looking great from here on out
Sept: Electric Zoo
Oct: ATP NJ
ha yeah it was a huge relief when I got it back. Bummer that everyone else in my crew usually just relies on me for documentation, so the only thing we had for sat and sun was my phone (didn't work...
posted these in the wrong thread earlier here's a couple I shot before I lost my camera on Friday (got it back Sunday though!)
Sorry I didn't mean to jack your thread, and am def. not concerned w/ getting credit, frankly I'd be flattered if anyone confused any of my pics w/ any of yours.
Magnetic Man was so bad, I was so excited to see them too. Only redeeming factor was that I left to go check out crystal castles who were actually way better than I was expecting. Also Caspa's MC...
Hey I actually need a couple of Indian Wells Tennis Garden passes. PM me if you've got a couple.
yeah I totally agree. I'm particularly concerned with Friday night, I can envision a schedule where 4 acts I really want to see are on simultaneously. No danger of that on Saturday.
I've been on the board longer than any of you, and do not have the entitled attitude Coachellean has. I just need one shuttle pass, willing to pay for it.
CB, dude, I think you're alright.
